Bossa Nova - Santa Cruz Huatulco

Great quality and flavourful food and a nice selection too. Giovanni is a great host.

We have family here for just a week and have returned a second time. Food was fantastic and our English speaking waiter was very accommodating, efficient and just a joy to serve. Highly recommend

A very cheap dairy menu, very fresh food

The chef makes quite delicious dishes with simple ingredients, and their prices are very reasonable. This french-inspired restaurant is inside the Hotel Huatulco Maxico (across from the northwest corner of the Santa Cruz parque), and we sat in the open air dining area (I suspect there is a more enclosed area based on pictures). I had the Poblano baguette, my wife had the crepe Camarones al chipotle, and my daughter had the crepe Marinera, and all three were fantastic. I was especially impressed with the crepe Marinera, with which the chef took canned tuna and sliced green olives and turned it into an amazing filling with a gentle chipotle seasoning. This place is definitely worth a visit if you are in the Santa Cruz area, and also worth a taxi ride there and back if you're not. It might be tricky for picky young eaters, but I suspect if you're willing to let them have a treat, one of the dessert crepes might do the trick (we're trying that on our next visit)

We went here as a backup after trying to go to Mercader without a reservation, but it actually ended up being pretty great. They have an extensive menu with a lot of great dishes (including savory and dessert crepes), and even have several vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. A great place to go if you are hungry in the Santa Cruz area.

I got the fish Burger and fries for take out, very well priced and delicious! The salsas are great and the fish is huge. Very messy and delicious.

Excellent fish burger - came with a choice of condiments including pesto sauce and cocktail sauce. Great find in the midst of an expensive tourist town!

The chicken cordon bleu and Carib chicken were good with the exception of the cold mashed potatoes. The mojito was an alcohol free mint smoothie. But I have yet to find a good mixed cocktail in huatulco yet. The chai latte was more milkshake. Not a 4.3 rated restaurant in my opinion.
