★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots different from what it used to be. A lot of barriers and having to have more ID documents.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the second time I pass I many years and it was by far the longest wait. It toile 3 hrs. They have only 2 lanes. Only one line that handles cash. If you are a traveler like me DONT come here. The cashier was rude and not helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only concern was they would not take peso coins, only paper bills. There are no $10 pesos bills, and price was $50 pesos.....???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve crossed through this bridge 3 times and every time has been a smooth transition, officers seem to know what they are doing in the process crossing back. I like that they always call out my kids name see if they respond. Easy efficient and knowledgeable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently had to cross the Brownsville/Matamoros bridge on foot. It was a pleasant day and the people at the turnstile on the U.S. side were very helpful. I walked to my dental appointment with Dr. De la Garza, just past Garcia's, and, when finished, purchased my medication at Garcia's, then walked up to the turnstile on the Mexican side. Seeing I wasn't feeling well the attendant explained to me about what change was needed and provided assistance. There was almost no one on the bridge around noon and the crossing on both sides is shaded with a canopy. When I walked in to Customs in the U S. the agent, who also saw I had had dental work, passed me through immediately! I was pleasantly surprised since I have not crossed the bridge on foot in many years.
