In the middle of wild nature, in the sea of mountains, is this canyon with a colony of macaws. The nature trail leads along the edge of the valley between cacti and is well signposted. Take the Santa María Tecomavaca guide.

Nous n'avions pas de guide = pas de visite.

Attention: Obligation to have a guide to do this hike. Without a guide, the 3km on the road by car will be useless to you.
We had no guide = no tour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful adventure. Feels like in a movie. The hike, starting from the street, takes around 2 hours (reading the signs and taking some fotos and breaks). Going down, when your done with your adventure, maybe less than an hour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hike is amazing. It takes you from the road and up along the edge of a deep canyon. The views are amazing, and watching and hearing the green macaws is magical. We were there alone, no other visitors to the area that day. The canyon is in the middle of nowhere, it will be hot and lots of elevation change, but more than worth it.
