The best hostel in the center of Guanajuato, the rooms are very nice and clean, the treatment is excellent and the location is very good since you are walking downtown and all the tourist places.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es un lugar muy lindo con habitaciones muy cómodas. Cuenta con muchas terracitas y áreas de convivencia al exterior, incluso tienen asador. También hay una cocina súper bien equipada para uso de los huéspedes y un lobby con servicio de té afuera de las habitaciones. La atención que ofrecen es muy buena y siempre están dispuestos a resolver las dudas y orientarte. No es necesario subir a callejones para llegar, pues se encuentra a nivel del Jardín Embajadoras.
It is a very nice place with very comfortable rooms. It has many terraces and outdoor living areas, they even have a grill. There is also a super well equipped kitchen for guest use and a lobby with tea service outside the rooms. The attention they offer is very good and they are always ready to answer questions and guide you. It is not necessary to climb alleys to get there, as it is located at the Ambassador Garden.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I stayed with Erica and her brother Pancho for 4 weeks in Jan-Feb of 2020. We were there to work on our Spanish. The place is clean and homey, with several common areas. There was only one other long-term guest while we were there and a couple of people who stayed for a few days. For the first 2 weeks I had breakfast with Erica and Pancho, eating with them in their home. This was great for improving my Spanish. They are two of the sweetest, kindest and most patient people you will ever meet. They enjoy spending time with their guests and will ensure you have a pleasant stay. They are not home 24/7 so good communication and some independence is required on your part. Erica has been hosting students for many years, and understands English very well. She did not, however, SPEAK any English while I was there, as she knew I wanted to have an immersive experience.
Casa Sosa is located right on Embajadoras, a large park (for GTO) filled with school kids, couples or dog walkers depending on the time of day. There are several markets, food stands, and shops of all kinds lining its periphery. The Iconic Cafe Tal is a 5 minute walk, halfway to Plaza de la Paz. It is out of the center but nothing is far in GTO. There is a major bus stop on Embajadores and the Sosas can help you with directions.
The place is simple, as can be seen from the pictures, but the hosts are warm and caring which is what really matters for me.
