★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Americans and Canadians should avoid this dental clinic. Their equipment is outdated, even in comparison to other dental clinics in Cozumel. They attempted a root canal on one of my teeth, and burned the root because the detal drill was not irrigating properly. They made two dental bridges for me and both have to be replaced, because both the impression and the bridges themselves were improperly done. I had to go to a dentist with good equipment to figure out the mess they made. Costadenal Clinic is the place to go to in Cozumel for good dental work. Mexican government officials and the Canadian Embassy in Mexico City were very helpful regarding the terrible work done by Mariles Dental Clinic. Avoid these incompetent and unprofessional 'dentists'(?). Really!

Having read about discrimination in Latin America, specifically about Mexico, I would like to add that not only was the work they did on me poor and had to be redone, but after reading about the attitude of light skinned people towards dark skinned people in Latin America, it is now very clear to me that that was really the issue behind their poor work and discrinatory attitude towards me by both the father and the son.
I am a very education man, and a secondary school teacher by profession. I call out discrimination when it occurs, whether it is towards me or anyone else. These two people need to own up to their 'racist' attitude and clean it up. They also need to improve their dental skills. Formal complaints are still in progress. I'll keep you up to date. The government of Mexico does not approve of their kind of behaviour. I am sure of that!

While there, I had an emergency and was treated professionally by the doctors and was given a detailed rundown of what the problem was and treatment. After three years, the work they did on my teeth is awesome. Look them up while in Cozumel!!!!!
