This is a unfinished, in the process of construction apartment building. The location is far of main road and there's a lot of dirt road construction. These are individual apartments Victor is converting into make shift dorm rooms with plywood as lockers. There were no guests and he's asking top pesos for a bed because he's the only hostels. He recommends staying in Tulum. Maybe you should wait till construction is completely finished before booking here. Happy Trvls

We had an amazing stay at Victor's place. The apartment was super clean and very big. Victor was so nice, he even picked us up at the bus station :) Communication was super easy. Highly recommend, we will be back!

Very clean and simple. Love the smart TV and the a/c is a great addition. Short 15 minutes walk to the beach through a cute town and over a foot bridge. I've stayed here a few times and love it. The owner is very friendly and helpful.

Victor the owner is awesome. The room is super clean, including the sheets, toilet, and shower too. Fast WiFi. New Aircon unit. Netflix! Body wash, soap, air freshener, nice smelling towels (not of bleach), actually fully sealed bug nets on the windows. Super comfy bed and pillows. Hot water. Simple but all you could ever ask for. Extreme attention to detail which you rarely come across. The keys ever have a floater on them in case they slip out in the sea!! He even only charges on a per person basis - paid only $30 for a 6 person room as I was alone! I haven't felt this comfortable in many other places and I have been to hundreds! Thank you! ??

This hotel had a very homey feel to it. It is owned and operated by a family, and can be found in a residential neighborhood. They provided basically everything you need, with a kitchen outside the private bedrooms, private bathroom inside the private bedrooms, AC, towels, sheets, hot water, a parking spot while I was there, an electronic keypad lock on the door, spacious bedroom, TV, table & chairs, and hangers for clothes. The neighbors directly across from my room were blasting their music until about 11:00 p.m. or midnight. But, for me it was not a problem because I am a night owl and don't get to bed until midnight. The hosts at the hotel asked me whether I was going to be okay with that, as the neighbors were already playing music when I rolled in at about 5:00 p.m. I was grateful for their courtesy in asking up front. The only hard part about this place was the address on Google maps and hostelworld was slightly off. But, the local neighbors pointed me in the right direction, and it was a very safe neighborhood to be in. It was a taste of the local residential situation staying in this place. I recommend it. And I suggest calling over the phone instead of booking through a third party. You will always get a better price, and you save them from having to give a commission to a website. One last note, after staying in Mexico for 10 days, and see ing different cities, I have come to know that it is unheard of for a hostile or hotel on a budget to provide you with a blanket. Just sheets. I personally prefer a blanket even when it is warm because of the feeling of weight and security around my body.

I loved my stay here. It's a real local feel, definitely not a hotel. But I didn't like the tourist vibe of Playa Del Carmen, so this was perfect for me. Expect to see and hear lots of children playing in the street, dogs wandering around and barking, and locals partying to all hours (Mexican's love to drink lots, eat a lot of meat, and party!) There are some great local taco stalls if you're a meat-eater, and an AMAZING market stall with incredibly priced (+ fresh) fruit and veg just 2 mins walk away. El Padrino has a kitchen with all you need to cook. :) Wifi worked well, I felt safe, and the lady who works here is ALWAYS smiling & happy to help. I didn't stay in the dorm but I would recommend the private room. Gracias x
