We, my wife and I, are new residents of Mazatlan. My wife found El Tunel while searching for restaurants on Google. We are really glad she did. The food was great. You could tell it was prepared by someone that cared about the work that they are doing. We’ll be back.

Fun little place to grab some tacos on Plaza Machado. Everything on the menu is around 100 pesos or $5 US. We ordered (3 people) the brisket tacos, shrimp tacos and mole enchiladas and shared. All three items were tasty with the mole enchiladas being my favorite. Take a stroll down the long hallway, which is why it is called "el tunnel" and you will be surprised how it opens up into a much larger space. One. Of my favorite things about exploring mazatlan, you just never know what is lurking around the next corner or behind the next door!

The food is ok, it's not the best you can taste in Mazatlán, but it's really close to the plazuela Machado. My family and I ordered a few things but it took about an hour to get our meal. The service should be improved, I'm not sure maybe because of the covid 19 crisis the place was affected. The place is clean, it looks pretty and colonial. And maybe the variety in the menu is really poor, only some of the things appearing in the menu are available.

really enjoyed my meal here. had a super sweet server (Bento or something with a B? can’t remember sorry brother!) who drew me a map while explaining some cool places for adventures (photo below). i got the flautas which were good, but the shrimp salad was where it’s at! good service. fair prices. recommend!
