★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The beds are ok, bathroom as well.
I arrived around 8am in the morning and check in is at 3pm, they didn't really offered anything, but it was alright to leave my stuff there. I was sitting in the entrance area, hoping to check in a little bit earlier, but again, the staff didn't offered anything like that, even though there were people coming after me and checking in earlier. Also they don't really speak English, so I felt like just because I don't speak proper Spanish they didn't wanted to help me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Inner courtyard rooms, charming scene. Small but has it all! Very clean, crisp linens, wi-fi, quiet; courteous folks here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My stay at this hotel was for one night. The staff were friendly when checking in and out. The hotel room I had was very basic - nothing special - but it was clean. The bed was not especially comfortable but there was an air conditioner unit and a TV which was good. The overall vibe was more like a motel/hostel. I would recommend staying here if you are just passing through Bacalar for a cheap stay somewhere. Unfortunately the houses in the nearby area lit fires at night and there was a very strong smell of smoke that infiltrated our room, so this was not an inviting experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not a great option. Old, run down and they don't really seem to care. Mould on walls, no top sheet on bed, had to ask for a cover or blanket. It is cheap though and the location is good, but I would recommend paying extra for somewhere else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst hotel I ever stayed in Mexico, 700 peso , outside the door says 500, they won’t give me the price. bad internet , very old building , noisy , plus over charge me because they don’t have the room I booked. Overall a bad stay , please avoid

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel America Bacalar
For 65 a night I’ve stayed in much nicer places more like motel the service was nice had free water and bikes to ride around town the room looked like mold growing water from air condition drips into shower lighting was terrible not many outlets. No blankets on bed. Very noisy not sure if it was just other guest or neighbors. But could hear cars also. I only give this place a star for the service at front desk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A simple hotel, a simple but fairly large room with basic furniture, a fan and air conditioning. A small bathroom, a shower with hot water, a sink is placed a bit too high for me. There is a moving faucet that needs to be repaired and fastened. Coffee is available at the reception desk. Good location, not far from the centre.
