Nice room, nice view, nice pool, nice deck. Boca Chica has an elegant vintage design and it has a good vibe, the location is not great if you want to spend time in Acapulco but at least you have the beach and a market so you can eat good and cheap as well as buying whatever you may need.

The best experience ever! The hotel is really beautiful, Is a gem hidden in the old Acapulco. You don't need to go at big hotel this one have everything, The crew on the front desk is very professional and very kind. They always find a way to make your vacations unforgettable. My favorite person is Paola, since the first day she handle my account and she accomplish my expectations. If you are looking for a place with a nice view and far away from all distractions this is the place. Just rest and see the beautiful views. The restaurant is very good, the pool and the sea view is amazing. A lot of green views also had the island views to the Roqueta island. If you are not driving and you want to go somewhere I do recommend to take a taxi or bus one block from the hotel...(If you order a taxy from hotel it can cost you much more. Trust me, will be a very nice experience. Near the hotel will be tours for snorkeling, parachute, club in a boat, banana etc etc I also recommend you to go to Xtasea tirolesa. All this adventures near hotel boca chica. YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!!!!!

The hotel has seen better days, especially its pool. However, the service, the great views from almost anywhere within the hotel, and especially the restaurant with its delicious platters really makes up for it. A great experience is the kayak trip from the hotel to the island across to enjoy a relaxed day without the noisy and stressful city (the kayaks are free for hotel guests).

Awesome friendly and helpful staff. Very accommodating with the requests we had. Great food at the restaurant. Great views of the bay and Isla Roqueta. There's a public beach really close by and on weekends it is raucous! Mostly local families enjoying a day out. We loved it and spent a while with the crowds and had dinner on the beach. For those that want a quiet and serene beach experience, you might want to avoid the weekends. Highly recommend a day trip over to Roqueta and walk up to the lighthouse and then around the top of the hill for some magnificent views of the Pacific shores/coves. A bit strenuous and sweaty, but that's what the beach is for when you come back down!! :)

Be wary; most of the reviews here appear to be fake. Staff let a guest's dog out of a hotel room, proceeded to lose the dog and let it roam through the neighborhood, then screamed at a guest who was crying when she returned and was trying to figure out what had happened to her dog. Extremely rude staff. Do not risk taking your vacation here; it's not worth it. Disgusting management.

The restaurant is just by the sea, so it's really fresh and with a beautiful sight. The food was good and the drinks were quite refreshing. You can choose to either swim at the pool or at the private natural sea pool. Very private and quiet area.

This is what you can call a pet friendly hotel, loved it! Very nice staff! I only give 4 stars for missing section on the shower to put your stuffs and no corn tortillas at 7:30 am for breakfast! The noise from outside beach was annoying at night! But you really can forget that the hotel makes you feel in another place!

It is considered a "pet friendly hotel" so we brought our dog. We would have her with us all day and on our second day there we left her in the room while we had dinner at a restaurant outside the hotel and left our dog in our room. She is well trained and 6 years old. While we were gone staff came into the room to do the check for the mini bar and left the door open and my dog ran away from the room because it frightened her. The staff weren't able to stop her and let her leave the hotel. I'm not sure if you are aware where the hotel is located but its gated in a not-so-safe area. The hotel staff did not truly look for her. When we arrived back after 2 hours of her being missing they let us know. THEY NEVER CALLED US EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD TWO NUMBERS OF OURS, we would have immediately come back if we knew she was missing. And when we arrived back all they did was tried to blame us for not having her on a leash in the room???? HOW IS THAT PET FRIENDLY? The manager tried yelling at us and tell us we weren't welcome at the hotel. When all our concern was to find our dog. We proceeded to go in our car and look for her in a pretty dangerous part of Acapulco. Thankfully because of the very kind locals we were able to find her after a couple hours, but it was so scary for us because we were desperate to find her. She is like a child to us. The hotel did not help at all. All their(manager) concern was to let us know they have zero liability. The manager is extremely rude and we felt exhibited zero humanity. Never once did we receive an apology and she even let us know we were never welcomed again, and told me when I started crying to "shut up" because I would wake guests. It got to the point guests of the hotel started looking for the dog, and the kindest chef of the hotel got in his car with his son to help us. Everyone you could tell was in shock of how it was being handled. I am still in shock, as someone who considers their dog family, I can't believe the treatment we receive. I want to reiterate we never were called when it happened. If we would have came home later I'm sure we would have never found her. I am so so grateful to all the locals and people who helped and I feel so incredibly lucky to have found her. But I feel it's important to let everyone know because I know many people here have pets. I would recommend strongly if you have a dog and want to take it to the beach/Acapulco do not stay at the Boca Chica. I would also like to note we were iffy about staying here again because on a previous experience( our dog didn't come that time)the manager was extremely classist to a girl who was a caretaker of someone staying there. She told her she couldn't be in the pool and her reason was that she wasn't wearing a proper bathing suit. She has on exercise shorts and tee shirt , most likely because she didn't have a bathing suit. The manager did this in front of everyone at the pool. Luckily the family that employed her stood up for her and even got her a bathing suit so the manager couldn't make it an issue.
