If you like historical and architectural buildings you will love this Hotel. It is very different then the normal hotels I'm used to. The staff were attentive and helpful. Alma one of the front desk clerks went out of her way to help me with getting my Covid test to return to the states. I enjoyed my stay there and would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is very old and unique, but in a good way. The prices are great and they have a good selection of rooms. It has all you need if you don't expect to be in ultra modern surroundings.

Good location good price old world charm. Been staying here for many years. Nice to see the upgrades since last visit. could use new towels now. Staff very helpful.

I loved this hotel. I had so many friends ask me what hotel it was when I'd post photos. It was old and beautiful. The elevator was cool and the room was very large. It was very refreshing from our stay the nights before at Doubletree down the street. There was a large window with a TINY balcony. Literally just for your feet but it was soo cool to look outside. It even had a small room when you walked in with a couch. Then it leads you to a next room with the beds.(4 people room). They had a huge fan on the top and 2 other ones to plug in but we were fine during the night. My mom liked the tiny room with the couch, had a break from all of us for a bit . The bellhop was super friendly and explained some safety tips, the front desk staff also talked to us a bit before going up to our room. The price was great and felt safe. There is a terrace if you want to go up there. The patio furniture is super outdated and old but we took some dinner up there and had a nice Thanksgiving. The view was nice enough and we noticed some rooms up there that had a jacuzzi. Would have loved to check those out. When you go in and out of the elevator you have make sure to close both doors. This is definitely going to be the hotel I book next time. It is centrally located and super close to the pink Guadalajara sign that everyone likes to take photos at but also close to many other places. Also, easy to get picked up and dropped off. Some hotels are pedestrian only entrances and a hassle to get your uber/taxi. This place isn't as crowded in the front and cars are able to pull off to the side of the hotel to quickly drop you off and pick you up . Highly recommend.

This hotel has mediocre facilities and the bedrooms don’t have AC instead they have a loud fan which doesn’t do anything in a 30 degree room. Also they don’t have mosquito nets or window guards so expect to be bitten by mosquitos all night. The only reason it’s a two star is because the staff were friendly. But I would never choose to stay here again, if you like hot and stuffy rooms with little ventilation this is a good choice for you, considering how expensive it is you think it’d be better..

Great value. Classic hotel. Excellent service. It's not a five star hotel so don't expect every modern amenity. Great ambience. Personally, I would book directly with the hotel rather than with a third party and get a room with a better view than I had.

I am not staying at this hotel. I just come here for the buffet breakfast. The service is good and the family owned restaurant gives good service. The breakfast food to me is one of the best I have tasted in the city. The owner is always at the cashier's front area and talks to the customers. The servers are very nice to talk to provide you with whatever you need. I have had a very enjoyable experience every time I eat breakfast here which is everyday. Come and try the buffet at hotel Francis and make your own opinion but I think you will like it.
