This hotel is amazing. Clean, efficient, well maintained. Location to everything by walking in the RZ was easy. Staff were kind and helpful. Very relaxing stay.

The property is in an ideal location, a block from the majority of gay bars and clubs, and a15 minute walk to the gay beach. It is right in the middle of all the action, the only gay hotel in the middle of Zona Romantica, where all the lgbtq action is. There are a plethora of great restaurants and boutique shopping all around, and it’s an easy walk to the Malecon, the popular Puerta Vallarta boardwalk. The property is very modern, clean, well maintained and relaxing. It is perfectly quiet during quiet hours overnight, and relaxing most of the day by the pool and sauna. The pool parties are super fun and bring in a good crowd for you to mingle and make friends. The bar is great and has cute staff around all afternoon to serve drinks and clean. This is definitely one of the best experiences me and my boyfriend have had, and better than most gay resorts I have stayed in. We will definitely return!

The staff was most friendly and professional. They treated me like family. They always went above and beyond for my comfort. The birthday gift they left in my room was just extra special. I'd recommend this resort anyway, anytime.

This is really one of the most difficult reviews I have ever written to be honest. Why you might wonder, the simple reason it was just so perfect that we can’t point out anything specific as everything was just perfect. Our benchmark of a good stay is that all goes so well, that you simply relax completely, wrapped up in a little cocoon of comfort from which you preferable don’t want to wake up from. But these places does not really exist, there is always something…. except not this time. From our initial communications with Team Piñata PV, to our friendly (handsome) and welcome reception at checkin and it just did not stop till we had to sadly wake up to reality and caught our plane back. A bit of background, we’ve stayed in 2 different rooms, as it was the only option available. Our fault for booking late but no regrets as we’ve experience more than one room. Both excellent and well planned with the layout. Comfortable with everything you need but not cluttered at all. The beds are super comfortable, in addition each room have a small fridge, fan, air conditioner plus room service every day. Plugs in all the right places to charge your phone etc. After a day on the beach we returned to “our" safe heaven and would not miss any of the fun parties over the weekend or the happy hours. Or simply to chill a bit on our own in the jacuzzi. There were always one of the Piñata PV team around to help with any problem or simply to give advice when needed. In addition the location is just perfect for the area. Walking distance from everything you might want to do, be it a restaurant, bar, entertainment, beach etc. Besides this we have made friends with other guests from around the globe, that we know we will see again and stay in touch with. Most important of all, they made us feel part of the Piñata PV family, not just another number, statistic down the line for them. It will be very difficult to find another gaycation with such a perfect place to stay. It ticked all the boxes and we left with many good memories, friends and a new family. Definitely we will return here and can’t recommend Piñata PV Gay Hotel high enough.

Its Easy like Sunday Morning. Friendly accommodating and cant beat the location. Love how the building looks and feels. It's the people, the location and the place to stay. It works for business or pleasure. Clean and comfortable with some great designs. Loved my stay and plan another soon.

Piñata is by far the best gay hotel in Puerto Vallarta — in fact, it’s probably one of the best lodgings for gay men in the world. This small, clothing-optional hotel catering only to men is beautiful, clean, well-maintained and accommodating in every sense of the word. Owner/host Patrick and his crew go out of their way to make sure you’re happy and comfortable during your stay, by serving up great drinks and guacamole at the bar, offering excellent tips on how to get around in PV (and schedule a COVID test for your return to the U.S.), booking an add-on massage if you’d like one, helping you get a cab and negotiate the fare, and providing numerous other amenities. Piñata is in a choice spot, in the middle of a quiet city block away from the tourist traffic but a short walk from the beaches and PV’s best restaurants. Even though the location was so convenient, we spent less time sightseeing and more time hanging out at the hotel than we’d expected, because the pool, hot tub and bar at Piñata were so welcoming and provided the relaxation we were seeking in Mexico. The hotel is a friendly and fraternal place where it’s easy to meet and strike up conversations with men from all over the U.S. and Mexico. And the relatively new day passes for guys who aren’t staying at Piñata help to raise the socializing level. My husband and I enjoyed ourselves so much that we’ve already decided we’re going back next year.

We had an amazing experience! Our room was so much nicer than typical hotel or Airbnb stays. Conveniently located to night life. The entire hotel is immaculately clean. The staff is super nice and helpful. The happy hours and pool parties are fun. I really appreciated how safe the hotel felt because there is always a staff member around 24/7. Is it weird that we'll miss the amazing bathroom the most?

My husband and I have had one of the best experiences staying at Pinata. We generally love staying at a boutique hotel when we travel and Pinata is certainly one of the best when it comes to service, location, friendly staff and most of all, the attention to details. We truly enjoy the little details and thoughts that were put into this place: large water bottles when we return from the beach each day, nicely folded sheets/laundry, and regular-size quality bar soap! To us, "the little things" are the ones making the experience unique and delightful. We certainly will stay at Pinata when we visit PV again.
