We had a surf lesson with Jonny and Johnathon and they got our entire crew standing in no time. They are thoughtful when watching you surf and giving positive critique to help you improve your form. They’re also just all around cool guys to grab hang out with too. The beach you go to is beautiful and great for beginner surfers. The fact it’s at sunset makes it perfect.

The stop off at the surf bar after the Sunset Surf Session was the icing on the cake. I wouldn't have found that place on my own, and it was just magical. I highly recommend Sunset Sessions for anyone visiting Mexico, as a beginner or more advanced surfer.

They taught our four kids ages 7-15 to surf in a matter of minutes. Our youngest two were a bit nervous but they acknowledged that and created a safe comforting environment instantly. All four kids were thrilled and asking to do more lessons with them before we ever left the beach. It was a very positive, fun and relaxing experience. I highly recommend them! They’re the best and you will definitely have success with them.

He is responsive and makes sure you get on the best waves of the day. We easily catch 5x as many waves having him out there coaching us. Will definitely use him when we go back!

Our family of four was able to have a great first time surfing experience with Johnny’s surfing guide business. It was a first time for all of us (ages 45, 53, 15 and 11). As it got closer I got a little bit nervous seeing the waves outside our place were looking huge but he took us to a nice surfing beach and we were all able to get a good beginner understanding and a chance to stand up and ride a few waves in. Johnny and Christian were so personable, and great teachers! I’ll be using his surf sessions again when I return with friends.

We went sailing and saw tons of whales while learning about the local region and wildlife. We jumped in the ocean and had a ball. We also went on a hike to Monkey Mountain and Johnny set up a tour for us on a separate boat to theMarietta Islands. We cant wait to come back and plan to spend lots of time with Sunset Sessions on the water!
