★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my second day at the St. Regis and this is hands down the worst five star hotel I’ve stayed at. The staff has been very friendly but other than that the attention to detail has been lacking.
1. I come on vacation to be able to relax and sleep in. They were digging and redoing landscaping directly outside of my room around 8 am. The digging was so loud that I initially thought someone was doing construction on the wall or roof. I understand that there is work that needs to be done, but perhaps start later in the day, or around 10 am.
2. The $70 tacos al pastor are terrible. I had been eating delicious street tacos in Mexico City for a week for about $1 per taco. Ironically, I had never gotten sick from eating in Mexico until after the tacos at the St Regis. Now I have diarrhea. The tacos also tasted awful. The pork was dry. The corn tortillas are thick, have a weird consistency, and don’t have the normal miaz flavor. My ex boyfriend is actually Mexican (born in Mexico), so I’ve been taken to eat really authentic tacos plenty of times. These were some of the worst tasting tacos I’ve ever had. I understand their need to Americanize tacos at a hotel, but at least make them taste decent, and prepare them to a standard that doesn’t make people sick.
3. Ants in the bathroom….including crawling on the bathroom sick and around my toiletries.
4. I asked for extra macaroons that were never brought to my room.
5. We sat down for breakfast and had to ask for menus to be brought to us. It’s the lack of attention to detail that bothers me. I wouldn’t be so annoyed if this wasn’t a five star hotel. Service is lacking.
I’ve been here less than 24 hours and just want to leave.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Claim your sunbed at sunrise or forget about having one! Some even have the audacity to claim sunbeds in multiple areas of the property.
The food on site is excellent, however it would be nice to have the freedom to venture to other restaurants- St Regis guests are excluded from dining at any non-st Regis owned establishment within the compound. Renting? No problem. Four Seasons? All are welcome to the st regis beach club and pools, but st Regis guests are not afforded the same reciprocity. The f&b outlets are far from busy but you're stuck unless you go into town.
As for the st Regis itself, this property is in need of a refresh as it's showing serious age, yet is still comfortable, lush landscaping and nice views and helpful staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All I can say is that we are so SPOILED now that we will only be going back to the St Regis in Punta Mita.. I took my mother for a weekend getaway and it was EXCEPTIONAL - coming from people who only stay at the best hotels in the world. I'd like to give an extra thanks to Ana our butler as well as our new friend Juan Martinez who went ABOVE and beyond to make sure we had an unforgettable experience.
We are already planning on returning and have recommended this place to all of our friends, family and clients.
Thanks everyone!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The St. Regis Punta Mita sets the bar high for luxury resorts—everywhere.
From check in to check out, our stay was absolutely stunning and personable. The team had insane attention to detail at every corner, nook and turn.
Leo and Victor, our two butlers, as well as the countless staff who aided us throughout the stay, were patient, thoughtful and genuinely charismatic at each touch point.
My mobility was limited during this stay due to a prior injury, but the team at St. Regis Punta Mita made it work. They arranged for golf karts at every outing, and checked in periodically to make sure we were doing well.
The property, as well as the ocean view suite, were impeccable. Whether you’re looking to unwind near one of their gorgeous pools, relax in the jacuzzi, or enjoy a romantic dinner on the beach—courtesy of one their restaurants, Mary Mita Boat Bar & Bistro. The list goes on.
St. Regis Punta Mita — thank you again for your hospitality and an unforgettable stay. You’ve successfully secured yourself as one of our top destinations worldwide. I’ll be raving and cheering for y’all for many, many years to come. Can’t wait to come back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel holds a special place in my heart . I have been coming here for 10 years and I’ve looked at other resorts but I always come back here due the staff. We met Caesar 10 years ago by the beach at the adult pool and although he’s not by the adult pool anymore, we ask to be seated in his section every year when we come. He is so attentive and always moves the umbrella to keep us in the shade. He is very personable and truly makes our trip magical. We have also gotten to know Jose 10 years ago as well when he would come around to clean our sunglasses and popsicles and now he works at the restaurant in the back but it was so nice to chat with him on our trip this year. And Karina we met at the restaurant probably 5 years ago. She is always smiling and ready to take our breakfast orders and is very personable. All in all the staff make this hotel worth coming back to.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give this hotel 10 STARS, I would. What an exceptional hotel and experience overall, you will have very little desire to leave during your stay. From the staff and their pure kindness, to the cleanliness, the views and lastly the FOOD. I can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was. You will NOT regret it. Do yourself a favour, and add this place to your bucket list.
Thank you so much St Regis, Punta Mita for an unforgettable time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A truly wonderful place. If you like sun, sand, friendly faces, good food, amazing drinks... This is a destination you shouldn't miss. Not inexpensive, but worth every peso. Mita Mary is a fantastic on the beach restaurant bar. Butlers are amazing and the beach servers are attentive and fun. Beach is not private, but there are no peddlers allowed, so you will be left alone to relax. Carolina is the only 5 star restaurant in Punta Mita and is also beyond expectations.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely gorgeous resort. The room was spacious with a beautiful view of the ocean.
We stayed at the adult pool mostly and it was very quiet and peaceful. The service there on the first day was non-existent (I had to call the front desk from my mobile to ask for service at the pool) but I believe this was a random slip up as the service was impeccable for the rest of our stay.
I thought the food at Carolina, while delicious, was way overpriced but we still enjoyed the experience.
Definitely try a coco-loco (or a few) at the pool. It is the best and most refreshing cocktail I've had poolside. They even cut the coconut up after you finish the beverage so you can eat it with some tajin!
We rented a golf cart and were able to go into town for some meals. It's beautiful to ride around Punta Mita and we found the restaurant MINA in town excellent. Definitely make a reservation and check it out.
I highly recommend this resort and hope to come back one day.
