Villa Alta Vista - 77717 Playa del Carmen

This was by far one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed! The space was incredible, with plenty of rooms and areas for people to spread out, while also being able to come together for meals and enjoy the absolutely stunning pools (plural!) on the roof. On top of that, Filo, Abraham and Gibran made sure we were taken care of in every way imaginable. From delicious food and drinks to excellent service and recommendations on places to visit around town, our trip wouldn't have been the same without them. They were friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them and getting to know them all week. I hope to come back to Villa Alta Vista some day!

The house was amazing! It was so beautiful and the staff was incredibly accommodating and kind. The food was incredible for the entire stay. Gibran and Filo were so helpful and attentive. I would recommend staying here!

Villa Alta Vista was an incredible place to stay with amazing facilities (it fit 21 girls very comfortably for a girls trip). However, what made the trip truly incredible was the staff at Villa Alta Vista. Gibran, along with his whole team, created the best possible experience. From piña coladas and margaritas poolside to incredible guacamole to the best meals to constant smiles and friendliness, they made our trip perfect! I hope to be back soon! We absolutely enjoyed our time at Alta Vista and that had everything to do with Filo, Gibran, Orchid and Ibrahim. They created a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy ourselves and are the utmost professionals. If you think you don’t like mole, have Chef Gibran change your mind!!!! 6 stars for the staff, including the housekeepers as well, who make the rooms so nice and fun with the towel sculptures! Here is why I didn’t give 5 stars: I wish the second pool where the bar is could have been heated or would be a jacuzzi. It was often too cold to enjoy. It would be great to have a hand shower in the bathrooms, as rain showers aren’t for everyone. In such a beautiful home, there should be both options. The only real complaint I have is that the listing mentions you can enjoy ocean views from the great room but that isn’t really the case. We were expecting to enjoy the view of the ocean from there and at the end of the day, you’re looking at beautiful palm leaves, but no ocean. We had no outdoor dining option so I was hoping for more of an indoor/outdoor feel in the great room. The views from the roof are absolutely stunning though! You are less than a two min walk to the sand and so close to town as well.

We recently stayed at Villa Alta Vista and all I can say is that it exceeded our expectations. The place is breathtaking. The pictures are a true depiction of the place. But more importantly, the staff: - Filo who is the house manager is simply the best at his job. As the host, he would ensure all the guests were comfortable and attended to. He made the best pisco sours (which he googled and nailed!). He is a great communicator and plans ahead, which helped me as a host define everything and then leave it up to him. He had suggestions and always made himself available to help any way he could. - Gibran: the master chef. He made the best salmon, ceviche, sopos, tacos, burritos - you name it. Not to mention, the chocolate chip pancakes. Aside from being a great cook, his attitude was always great in terms of accommodating to schedules, meals, and always offered great options. - Abraham and Yousef: they assisted Gibran and again, I can not emphasize enough their upbeat attitude towards our guests and their attentiveness. - the cleaning staff was also great - not invasive and kept the house clean. If you are planning a family/friend getaway, I highly recommend you stay here. You wont regret it.

Our group of 23 had the best vacation any of us has ever had. Everything from the management to the concierge team to the house staff was above and beyond exceptional. Darren and Diego gave me hours of time helping me plan everything, Filo made sure every single one of us felt pampered from the time we walked through the door to the time we left, and Chef Gibron and his staff made us some of the best meals we ever had! Housekeeping was on point and even did our laundry! An unbelievable vacation that none of us will ever forget. Thank you MayaLuxe for giving us the vacation of a lifetime!
