Very poor customer service. Do not go to the 4 in 1 tour.. worse experience ever. The guy will scare the wits out of you before you even leave. Only negativity was told to us. Not good things about the tour. We regret taking tour right from get go. Worse experience ever. Also will try to sell you things at higher prive than they should be. The guy wont shut up for 3 hours no sense talk the all time...Very poor poor experience. When we complaint we were told this is not a private tour yet we spend over a $1,400 usd not mexican for this.. very very bad experience.

Please find a different tour. I have been to cancun 4 times. I love Cancun so much, this is the worst tour I ever been to. First on the way there she mentions that there’s a lot mosquitos that cary the Zika virus and made us feel like we had to buy a tiny bottle of mosquito repellent for $10 USD. Our first stop was for lunch and to see a Mayan community where a shaman selected us to give a blessing but told us it was $3000 pesos. After he took us in the room. Then we moved on to lunch where no outsides drinks were allowed. The waiter offered us drinks and said it was included except alcohol. After they came up to us with a check that was for $28 usd. When our tour guide came to “ help” us she told us we had to pay or she wouldn’t give us a ride back on the bus. We felt threatened as tourists. It was the worst experience we’ve ever had as a tourist. We understand that it’s been difficult with COVID hitting but every time your turned we felt like there was someone asking for a tip.

Had a 4x1Tulum trip with them. Horrible experience. They just want to sell their products. I paid $10usd for a mosque repellent. Food was very bad. For non Spanish speaking people BIG NOO, they hardly speak English. Please check review of travel agency first, before buying tour from any local agent because most local travel agents sell Baktun under a different name.

We booked our trip from viator, and we were obviously not given an option of who do we intend to travel with. And we were given this agency. I have elaborated my experience on Viator for people booking form there, but I had to write something here to warn people. We booked a Chichen Itza tour and I am giving 2 stars, because Chichen Itza really is a beautiful monument and if you are around in Cancun you must visit this place. The Baktun travel agency starts to scam you right from the moment you enter their bus. First with their super expensive 200 pesos mosquito repellent, then all the places they take us there are "pushy tip askers". Yes tips are voluntary but once you're there and the way EVERYONE asks for tips you'll see how "voluntary" it is. BEWARE of the Mayan birth certificates they try to sell you. If you're really interested in the Mayan birth predictions for yourself, it is all available online for free. They will take you to the super expensive artisan stores and ask you not to buy stuff from street artisans at Chichen Itza but you can totally buy stuff from the street vendors. They are 10x cheaper than the stores that this tour guide will take you to. They'll also try to sell the customized Mayan tequila on the bus. From the moment you hop on that bus to the moment you get off, you will be sold overpriced stuff. Do not fall for it!!!

Payed 53$ for a Chichen Itze & Ik kil cenote. The driver picked me up at 07:50 AM, and we left Playa Del Carmen only at 11:00 AM! The driver went all the way down to Tulum to pick up some tourists. By 14:00 PM we got to Chichen Itze. The guide spoke only spanish so I decided to tour the place alone, and they told me to be at the parking lot by 16:00 PM. After that the bus just went back to Playa Del Carmen. What about Ik Kil? They just didn't took us there. I payed 53 USD and spent my whole day over 2 hours at the Chichen Itze. This is a scam yall, stay away.

Do not tour with this company, everything they do is to try to sell you something or scam you. Here is are some of the several techniques they use to extract more money from the unwilling tourists: - Tell you in the middle of the tour that there are Dengue, Zika and Chikungunya-bearing mosquitos in the Mayan jungle, but did not tell you in advance that you needed to bring repellent. "Coincidentally", they sell a tiny bottle of it for 10 dollars, while street sellers in Chichén Itzá sell the same bottle for 3 dollars. No wonder the guides repeated several times that we shouldn't buy from the sellers on the street under the excuse of "they will give you change with fake bills"! - The guide will spend literally an entire hour on the bus talking about several pseudoscientific and mystical subjects (how people's moods make them "vibrate" in certain specific frequencies, pseudo-quantum physics, how the Moon affects babies being born, etc.), it was very very excessive and there was no way to turn my ears off, my ears were their hostage in the bus. All that serves for the sole purpose of psychologically softening and preparing the tourist for their grand scam: for $25, they will check out your Mayan horoscope to find out what kind of profession the Universe meant for you. That's right, 25 dollars for something you can probably easily find if you plug your birthdate on Google with the words "Mayan horoscope". - One of the stops is with a supposed "Mayan shaman" who does a fake ritual where gullible tourists hold a black stone that changes color after the "shaman" sprinkles some blessed water on the people holding them, supposedly because it "absorbed their bad energies". Totally nothing to do with it being a stone that changes color with water or with body heat, right... and coincidentally, they sell the same stone in the shop just nearby! - You are forced to pay $3 to use a lifevest in order to be able to swim in the Cenotes, which again they don't tell you about. - They take a photo of you during the trip, then in the return journey they offer you a bottle of Tequila with that photo on the label, which they then try to sell you as a "souvenir" for an outrageous price. Avoid these con artists like the plague.

First let me say If you are not a Spanish speaker this company is probably not for you. The tour guide on the bus I will tell you is very cordial and in Spanish he explains the rich culture that is of the Mayans and Mexico. I am very fortunate to speak Spanish but my husband does not. He knows very little. The woman that assists on the tour is very abrupt and I can see where if you are an outsider you’d feel she was rude. Shes very helpful and she will try her best to give you what you’re asking for just understand that her English is limited hence why she’s abrupt. I’ve travelled to Mexico many times and I will say they do explain why to not buy from Chichen Itza. There’s a problem with Fraudulent pesos as well as US dollars hence why they said not to buy using your card inside or to be careful to spot fraudulent bills. It’s a recommendation not a you must or have to. As for tips it is customary in Mexico to give tips because the dancers and most of the people there at these sites depend on tips. It’s always been this way anywhere I’ve travelled in Mexico. I’m only giving 3 stars mostly because I will agree at the little restaurant it was heavily priced which I know put in town at other shops what they sell is much cheaper. Also the time spent on the tour felt very rushed and I don’t think they exactly knew how to stick with a timeline which is what my husband and I felt was extremely frustrating. At first they weren’t clear with departure times and then they barely do any part of the tour in English. Luckily as I said I speak Spanish which I don’t like to say I know Spanish when I first get on the tours mostly to observe the differences on the tour and I can say there are many. I’d suggest hiring a proficient English speaker and helping cater to those customers. I found there were several on the tour with us that didn’t speak Spanish and they made sure to single out my husband because he’s an English speaker. Edit:I’m giving this 5 stars because the company view was saved by the 4x1 tour to Tulum and Coba. Jorge, Henry, and Gus were all amazing! They made the whole experience a memorable one and we truly did enjoy every bit of the trip. Jorge and Gus were so knowledgeable about everything about each site and honest. Throughly enjoyed this tour.

We had a great time with our guide George. He entertained English and Spanish speaking guests equally. English speaking guests did not feel left out. The bus pickup were on time for hotel pickup and well organized.
