An amazing delightful place! Great drinks at the bar, the food is spectacular and the service wow! Mexico City needed a place like this! The risotto.. the ceviche and oysters are to die for!!!

How is this place not more popular I'm genuinely confused?

Impossible to describe how much we enjoyed this meal. Service, food innovation, small perfect dining room. A true hidden gem.

Short ribs were a bit on the dry side. That's unacceptable in a place that charges as much as they do. The beef tongue and the intestines (tripa) were unimpressive. The tripa was crispy to the point were it didn't have much flavor left in it.

It’s always fun to visit restaurants that try to propose something different. The problem with this place is that they need to rework on their concept, as it ends up being all the opposite to their name: Fine Dining. We had a few hit and miss with the selection of food. That appetizer that you are supposed to lick from the plate is not only uncomfortable but comes across as a joke. The tuétano was good, same as the duck and the ribs. The Risotto is good on paper but to my taste it was way too acidic and ends up killing all the flavors. Not great, not bad. I won’t rush to go back to be honest.

Really great non-stuffy experience. Fantastic ambiance, informed staff and amazing unique dishes. Very pleasantly surprised by this place! Highly recommend the cauliflower dish, black mamba, Chilakas, Chor Bi. Amazing desserts as well

WOW WOW WOW! Get in NOW before 1985 becomes too packed! I had an overnight layover in Mexico City and was able to book a table for that night at 1985. The location is excellent, and the decor was upscale and lovely (and all tied together thoughtfully with their little fly logo in different, silly poses). Do not miss their cocktails. My two friends and I tried several of their on-menu cocktails (which were well-balanced and outstanding) and then we also tried a few off-menu bartender's choice cocktails that also displayed what a great mixology program they've got. Now the food - the small plates are enough to share with 3-4 people. Our party of 3 actually ordered the entire menu and it was too much food for us to finish (and we had two large men in our party who can eat a lot!). Ordering the entire menu was NOT a mistake. Each one of us had our favorite dishes of the 4 that came out at once. The presentation and flavors were on point for each carefully-crafted dish. I'm not going to recommend any particular dish because the menu might be different when you're there, but it is not an exaggeration to say I don't think there is an item you could go wrong with - in fact, some of us did a 180 on dishes we thought might not be a favorite but turned out to be a HUGE hit. (I will say that the short ribs were actually quite a large dish and that's where we realized we were too full!) My party has eaten at several Michelin starred restaurants around the world, and this ranks amongst our top meals of our lives. (And the price point was far more approachable - this would have cost 3x as much in Chicago, where we live.) The staff were all so accommodating and helpful and we loved chatting with them about our time in Mexico and about their business. In short, BOOK YOUR TABLE NOW! You will not regret it.
