★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A virgin Cenote surrounded only by the tranquility of mother nature. This is a project run by 8 local Mayan families. There are five cenotes, two were open when we were there with plans to have the rest open soon. At present you can camp, it's pet friendly, there are jungle walks to view the other cenotes and they have plans to build eco cabins to sleep. We had the cenote all to ourselves, without the noise of mass tourist it gave the cenote it's true ambience of being immersed in the peace of the surrounding jungle. It's 150 pesos per person for one Cenote or 300 to visit all of them. Best part is the money goes directly to the families and it's not a rip off like other cenotes we visited. Guide Carlos is full of information about local history and fauna. Can't wait to come back and stay in one of the cabins. Thank you for a truly unique and authentic Mayan/Cenote experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cinco Cenotes are five cenotes which have opened for the public only six months ago. Only two are normally visited. The gravel path to the site is only a 10 minute drive; the first part is quite easy, the second part a bit more challenging with larger potholes and stones. From the parking, expect a 2 minutes walk, where you can find very kind guides whom will guide you through the two cenotes for 150 pesos per person. The first is directly at the guide station; a wooden ladder takes you down to a large wooden platform from which you have a beautiful view on the extremely clear and beautiful cenote with large tree roots growing into the water. It’s about 25 meters deep. You can also swim here. The second cenote is a 10 minute walk with the Maya guide through the jungle, and is also nice. A basic washroom is on-site. The guides are very kind but only speak Spanish. All and all a very nice and off the beaten track experience, well worth the drive and fee.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best cenote experience we had during our trip. We were the only people there, so we had a nice little walk through the forest with the hosts. There you see cenotes as they always have been, with minimal touch. Highly recommend to visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jose was great, he took me and my girlfriend on small walking tour to 1 cenote and explained alot about the area we seen some wild animals and it was great, to finish off we was able to enjoy a swim in another cenote all to ourselves, it was magical and the 2 guys was really helpful, we can't wait to visit in the future when all 5 cenotes are open for business. price was 300pp but definitely worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is incredible! Run by a group of amazingly kind people.
There are currently two cenotes open, one for viewing and the other for swimming! It was really interesting to view the cenote that you cannot swim in as it’s has not been converted yet for tourism and you can get a feel for what these natural wonders would have looked like for millions of years. You can also take a short walk in the jungle to get there and see many different types of wildlife.
The cenote you can swim in is stunning with beautiful light coming through the ceiling opening! When we visited we had the place all to ourself and that’s the best part about this place. Not many people have heard about it yet! This is a must visit on your way to holbox or ria lagartos ?
The kind people who own the land did a great job of explaining the area, local wildlife and have us a great tour ? they have also set up hammocks and a place to chill and eat after you are finished swimming and exploring.
Thank you again for an incredible experience.
