★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely views of the greenery around. It's a nice walk if you want to go all the way to Los Sifones, where you can swim in cool clear waters for a 10 peso charge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great spot to get some cardio in with beautiful surroundings. Not sure about 500 steps though as we counted around 280 or so. Be careful with Google maps as it will lead you the long way. I edited the directions so hope it helps, if not put the location as the parking lot 500 Escalones monument.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ OK place. Could be better with some care and management. The steps are somewhat dangerous; just old worn-out cement steps with no rails to hold on. Nothing special about them. I am not even sure there are 500 of them. The river at the bottom of the valley smells sewage and is foamy (due to household detergent waste maybe). No signs around; easy to get lost. I would not say it is a tourist attraction but worth a visit if you have time.
