Cancun International Airport suggests using the airport taxis because they are safe. I had a 15 hours layover in Cancun and, I wanted to go outside. I took a shared taxi to Coco Bongo area. The bus was full. I was the last passenger with two backpacks in the back of the minivan. Right after dropping the passengers before me at ADO, the driver stayed in the back of the van longer than expected. I had my suspicions because he seemed to be hiding something. I tried to look to the back of the van when I saw him trying to open my backpacks ?. I kept looking and he decided to move the backpacks behind a seat where I couldn't see what he was doing. I requested my backpacks to be moved next to me instead. Upon check, one of the backpacks had some zippers opened. If that's the safest transportation available at the airport, I can only imagine the other options.

This company is dishonest! The owner told us it would cost $50 U.S. or 1,000 pesos to drive from the airport to Dreams Riviera. (I knew he was overcharging us but I agreed because we just wanted to get back to our hotel.) He drove us to the airport terminal after we returned our Hertz rental car, so we could get money out of the ATM. It only gives $20 bills so I gave him $60 and asked for $10 change. He had his driver continue while he kept the money and walked away. Once he had our money he was very unkind, dishonest, cocky, and rude. Don’t trust this company!! I wasn’t surprised to see another 1-star rating with a bad experience...
