Abbraccio Cucina Italiana - 48324 Puerto Vallarta

4.7/5 based on 8 reviews

Buon appetito.

I see why this place has such great reviews. Spectacular fine dining style service, table side craft cocktails, a very impressive menu, and the best pizza crust I've ever had.

I was pleasantly surprised at the level of service, food quality and variety of menu items at this restaurant. When we walked in, we thought this was going to be another cookie-cutter franchise establishment serving some “italian food”, they are not. We ordered pasta a la ruota which they prepared in front of us, lentil and vegetable soup, lasagna and tiramisu for dessert. Everything tasted good or very good. Bread was made and served fresh. Prices were average for Puerto Vallarta around 20 dollars or 400 pesos per person with 2 plates each including drinks and one dessert to share.

Good but not the best Italian I had in Mexico. Quite expensive for the quality. I recommend the burrata (not fried) and the ravioli di mare, which were both delicious. The rest wasn't impressive and pretty expensive (including the red wine unfortunately). Service is good but too rapid! They take out the plates as soon as you're done, very far from any experience in a real, laid-back Italian restaurant but then again... It's Mexico, not Italy ;p I had to double check the bill because they charged me the wrong type of wine. Also, the decor is very far from anything high-end (more like an American dinner, which was very strange for us), so the terrace might be a better idea (but close to the main road so I don't guarantee calm). It's okay but not worth the price in my opinion considering all of those elements. We paid about 1000 pesos + tip for 2 glasses of red wine, entrada de burrata and 2 pasta plates. Fyi they accept American Express and Visa.

We decided to try some Italian fare here in Mexico - and Abbraccio Cucina Italiana did not disappoint! We shared the Burratta Caprese - the mozzarella was fresh as were the tomatoes. I ordered the Margherita pizza which was delicious! Such yummy sauce. My partner got the Di Maré - it was also very good. We ordered drinks as well - I got the white wine sangria and he tried the Amaretto Dolche. Both were delectable. Give them a try!

I was very impressed with this restaurant. The attention to detail is amazing. A cart was rolled to our table to make the cocktails, as well as my pasta which is the best pasta I've ever had! The staff was very attentive and I feel the price was worth it.

Fantastic dining unbelievable service friendly beautiful atmosphere. Had fettuccine Alfredo made at my table such a unique delicious dish. My wife had Margarita Pizza. We eat there two days in a row such a magical wonderful place. Highly recommended. I’m an owner of a pizza restaurant on the Oregon coast.
