Delicious hidden low key gem. Sit upstairs for a nice view of the neighborhood. Staff was super nice.

Possibly the most delicious fish I have ever had. We got the grilled red snapper (whole fish) and it was absolutely amazing. We possibly scared the owners because we picked the bones so clean. The skin was so flavorful and crispy, the fish so tender and juicy... We also got the fish tacos, which were incredible as well, and the chicken fajitas. Every dish was a hit! We sat upstairs, which has fans and large open windows--super comfortable and felt safe during covid. Can't recommend this place enough!

Exited the auto ferry and headed straight here by recommendation for the best fried fish in Isla. Venue opened at 1, we arrived at 1:15 off the 11:30 am ferry from Punta Sam. Very limited street parking but we found a space. #Win Family of four ordered fried fish, coconut shrimp, Caesar salad, guacamole and chips, chicken quesadilla and two margaritas for just under $1000P. The fish wasn’t the best we’ve had - we’ve had excellent in Tulum (Chimicos), Holbox and Playa but it was good. It was seasoned well. Everything is made fresh. The salad was good. The guacamole was amazing. And the quesadilla was made with love as well. The margaritas were okay. I’d give this place a solid 4. The service was top notch. Given so many other places I most likely wouldn’t return but it was a wonderful place to try and given the time, zero wait. It is about a 20 minute walk from Playa Norte. Loved this place! We’ve been twice since being on the island and we’ve only been here 3 days. The grilled red snapper with garlic butter is perfectly cooked, highly recommend finishing with a shot of tequila.

Very nice family restaurant. Owner and staff very friendly. Had 2 meals so far with my family of 7. Everyone was very happy with food. We went fishing in the ocean. Owner was kind enough to prepare our catch for us. Highly recommend enjoying a meal here.

Stopped at Restaurant Abuelos for a late lunch on a weekday. The upstairs dining room is very pleasant. Service was good. Shrimp tacos, fish tacos and grilled snapper were all good. Beer and Margarita prices are fair.
