Acanto Hotel Playa del Carmen, Trademark Collection by Wyndham - 77710 Playa del Carmen

It was a little difficult to find the hotel as there is no thru traffic on this street. However, the proximity to all the area attractions on 5th Avenue was perfect! Check in was easy. Room was affordable. Breakfast was included and the pool was cute. Rooms were extremely clean! The air conditioning worked perfectly. The bed was a little squeaky. The safe worked. We had no issues at all. Overall, excellent value for money.

incredible experience at Acanto Hotel Playa del Carmen, trademark collection by Wyndham. What a wonderful experience! You will not be sorry you choose this hotel. Over the top service by Miquel and staff. the rooms are clean and spacious, the breakfast wonderful, the setting perfect for close to beach and close to 5th avenue. the beds are wonderful. Can't say enough about our stay here. We will definitely come back if we come visit Playa again! the motel is across from "the plank" restaurant if you have trouble finding it. just off 5th avenue. music outside is just right. hot water good, and the service makes the place one of the best places we've ever stayed.

I booked the hotel for 4 nights through their official website, did not got any email confirmation. When I contact the hotel about what is going on, they told me that it is not booked and asked me if I want to rebook it again. I went to different website where I usually book, to be on a safe side and booked it again. In the website description it stated that I am getting a room with full kitchen. Yet, in reality I got a small room with small fridge, not even a coffee table or table chairs. I been told to contact that website so they will correct the information. Weird, I though this is their duty. Finally, the saddest part my designer purse with camera disappeared somewhere on hotel premises. I asked the front desk to check cameras, she told me ok. But instead she showed me screen shots from camera that is not even in the area my bag disappeared.

A well located hotel, but noisy town area. Bring earplugs. The hotel staff were superb, but the accommodations left something to be desired. Miguel and Fernanda were absolutely lovely, and bent over backwards to help us. The shower was not good, even after the maintenance guy came to fix it. Very low pressure and varying between cool and hot. Also the lighting on the stairs was so poor or non existent that it was a bit dangerous. However, the price was right and it was a great experience. ?

I would like to make a follow up review, we did not have hot water but they did offer a room with working hot water. Management responded quickly so customer service was excellent.Like I said great hotel, perfect perfect location. Rooftop had the most amazing view. Will be back next year.

This was our first time at Playa and we had no idea what to expect. The Acanto was perfect. The staff are very helpful. It is centrally located to everything. We had a single room with rooftop access and it was so peaceful. There is some noise from the bars so earplugs are always good. We were serenaded each night by piano music from the restaurant next door. We didn’t have hot water but that was fixed immediately. Any question we had they were able to solve. We had our COVID test scheduled and they came to the hotel. We received our certificates on the spot. Everything was very easy. Would definately come back.

We stayed here for 2 nights in a King suite apartment. The apartments are huge! So spacious- great if you're there for a while. I had no problems with the water pressure or hot water (we had our own boiler in the apartment). The apartment needs abit of updating and was abit dark inside for me (even with lights on). With a few upgrades this apartment would just be wow! Situated just off the main high street, easy walking distance everywhere. Coming back in the evening though I had to turn on my phone light as it's not lit very well within the hotel (navigating through reception, pool, then stairs) to get to the apartment. The staff are polite and friendly.

We booked a couple of weeks at this hotel and our only regret was not staying longer. We had a great time in Playa del Carmen and this hotel is practically located in the middle of it. Even though it is centrally located, the hotel maintains relative peace and quiet within the premises and is a wonderful place to come home to after spending a day at the beach or coming back after dinner out. It's easy to prepare for longer stays here. There's a laundry a block away, restaurants as close to being across the street, as well as drug stores and convenience stores. So easy. Knowing what we know now, we will make sure we can maximize our time in sun for much longer next season. Next to those all-inclusives, you can't beat this deal with a stick. I found out that if you book online directly with the hotel you save even more money. The staff are friendly, accommodating and were generally responsive to our needs and requests from time to time. There's a continental breakfast available and the coffee's good, but we found ourselves often at a French pastry restaurant two blocks away. Hey, what can I say, we like cappuccino. :-)
