Se cuenta, que por ahí de 1908, una señora llamada Felicita Sánchez que vivía en Cuautla, Morelos, que comenzó a preparar tacos acorazados porque tenía que sacar adelante a su hijo.La señora Felicita se empaquetó en una canasta tacos con dos tortillas, arroz y huevos duros, mismos que después podía ofrecer cubiertos en salsa, y se los llevo a vender a la estación del tren en Cuautla. Al ser una comida barata, muchos viajeros se acercaban a la señora con la intención de saciar su hambre.
Fue así, como doña Felicita pudo ganarse sus centavos para mantener a su único hijo. Pero con el tiempo, sus tacos ya podían verse preparados también con carne en chile rojo o verde, pollo, chorizo, chiles rellenos, etc.
Después, esta señora le enseñó a su hijo el negocio, quiendecidió probar suerte en Cuernavaca. Los que dicen que saben, cuentan que su primero local estuvo en el zócalo de la ciudad, donde podía encontrar a clientes que buscaban algo sabroso y barato que comer.
El resto es historia y se puede contar de muchas maneras. Hay muchas variedades de tacos acorazados, sabrosos y baratos, que puedes acompañar con salas o chiles.
Por cierto, no sabemos cómo salió a relucir el nombre de "Tacos Acorazados", pero podemos imaginar que es por LA DOBLE TORTILLA, y lo de "acorazado" es porque los grandes navíos de guerra tenían un fuerte fuselaje al que llamaban "acorazado".
