★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We did not like the Terminal in Campeche at all. They do not take care of your pet and you can feel that they just don’t like you being around them with your dog!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beware of a shorter female security employee with glasses who admits ticket holders at the entrance and also shouts announcements at the gate for departing buses. After looking at my ticket numerous times (both at the main entrance then several more times at the gate) she kept saying mine (ADO GL to Merida) wasn’t ready, at one point snapping “Mexico!” two or three times ie; ‘things run on a casual schedule here’, then called out my bus to Merida while I was standing right in front of her while not indicating was my bus. She knew damn well it was mine as she had looked at my ticket at least 5-6 times. I ended up missing the bus and had to pay $150 pesos more to get another bus leaving 3 1/2 hours later… Fortunately I was helped by a very nice local who spoke both English & Spanish and who asked the woman about it. She looked contrite and didn’t refute anything about what had happened and that was it; she’d totally dropped the ball, even after knowing full well where I was supposed to go and on which exact bus. And ~after~ telling me repeatedly for each Merida bound bus that was called out that none of them were mine. Oh, well; her punishment is she still has to work there… :) According to a number of other reviews here quite a few locals have also had similar experiences/made similar complaints. Advice for fellow travelers: be pushy and piss ~them~ off instead of missing your bus…

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The announcements were mostly in spanish, no one there to ask but other travellers. Bus was fast and we felt secure. But it was so annoying, that the whole time they played movies (in Spanish language) in full volume! And if that wasn't bad enough, the screens turned BLACK at every bumb on the road!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ADO Campeche Mexico, has no Grand Lujo designated waiting area, there’s a food kiosk called Hojaldré that has pan de Hojaldré stuffed with cheese and other ingredients that is great. No air conditioning, restrooms are up stairs and cost 6 pesos correct change. The guy in the door wasn’t there, no one to ask when and where our bus is, but that guy came to tell us we couldn’t go on the bus line the bus was late you are on your own here.
