Bring quarters. $0.50 to enter Mexico and $0.25 to come out. Parking lots are located on US side of the border for $2.00.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very easy access to Nuevo Progresso, Mexico - Cost .25 to cross from Texas to Mexico - short walk across bridge- Number of women and children underneath bridge asking for money- harmless and it does not hurt anyone to give them a couple of bucks. Going back to the US is simple also and short lines when we were there. Make sure to tell customs what you are bringing back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have to give this crossing 5 stars especially when I have winter Texans ask, aren't you scared going over there now? My answer is no. I have a better chance of getting shot in St. Paul, MN. And stop listening to wind bag DT in Washington DC. I waited longer to cross back into North Dakota from Canada then it took today. Beside, the agents here left their attitude at home before they came to work. Totally safe in Progreso and excellent dental care on top of it. I will return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little town on the USA and Mexico border. It's famos for dentist offices and pharmacies. Texans visit this town because dentist are very cheap here.
Do not forget to buy Mexican candies ?
Town has more than one street, but the main street is usually the only one that average US tourist see.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the best and safest border crossings in Texas. It’s very easy to park your car on the US side and walk over. I felt very safe. That’s a great day trip. It’s very easy and quick to come back if you walk. Driving it takes a little longer to get back to the US
