★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great airport to get in and out of quickly. Quick food from Starbucks or coffee shop in departures lounge. Very clean and bright. Rental cars are right outside arrival doors. If you US don’t buy insurance ahead of time they will not accept it. You will have to purchase their insurance regardless of your personal or credit card insurance to rent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean bathrooms and a good cup of coffee. No real shopping, just a couple cafes. It was pretty cold the day I was there, bring a sweater.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small but growing airport. Easy flying out as dropping bags and checking in is fast. Security has improved from a 2-star to now 4-star service. They are still improving layout and people flow. Flying in is ok but need much more work through customs and baggage claim as the air traffic increases.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Security at this airport is about the worst I've seen worldwide. Untrained and badly educated. They've taken a standard disposable cigarette lighter from new twice as they're unable to understands their own regulations. This time around I filled a formal complaint

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You’re able to do a COVID-19 test (PCR & Antigen) in the parking lot of the airport. Cost is 53 USD or 990 pesos, results ready in 30min. Hours 4:00am - 4pm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This airport has had many renovations and a restaurant has been added upstairs in the departure lobby, next to the Starbucks. You can get a taxi as soon as you walk outside but the line is always long. Covid testing is located in back parking lot, next to the rental car section It's a small tent,the service there is fast. You get your results in about 20 minutes. Over all this airport is great.
