It's a small airport, open the aircraft door and walk to the terminal. Only 2 planes were there. 550 Pasos for taxi to the condo in ixtapa. No worries....

Got extorted for all I was worth at customs.. I made the mistake of taking my wife's engagement ring and wedding band back to the states to get resized since I could do that for free there (she doesn't have a visa so she couldn't be with me). I had the receipts with me cause I needed them to get resized but they used this as leverage to call them "merchandise" when they saw it; apparently personal jewelry falls into this category here. I was forced to pay nearly $450 USD in taxes for both my wife's rings and mine as well. They refused to look at pictures where I could prove they belonged to us and instead was told I was lying and had to pay up cause it was "merchandise". I'm sure they somehow bent the law to be legally in the right but it felt completely unethical and whoever was in charge at the office there knew exactly what he was doing to me.

Easy access. Small. For the least expensive ride to town walk through the parking lot to the road and grab a combi to zihuatanejo. The customs smells of corruption.

AMERICANS PLEASE BE CAREFUL. WE GOT EXTORTED. THE YOUNG LADY MRS LEYVA CHARGED US 35 DOLLARS FIR A NEW PERMIT. PLEASE ASK HER TO GIVE YOU A LETTER OF WHAT SHE IS CHARGING. PLEASE DISPUTE BEFOREPAYING ASK FOR PROOF OF WHAT SHE IS CHARGING.

Lots of construction at this time (27 February), but still easy to navigate and quick to pass through security. The restaurant after security is now open and the bar continues to offer decent drinks.

Very basic airport, not much for food options, one bar, ice cream, and various gift shops with local souvenirs

Clean, small airport convenient to Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa. Red light & green light to get through customs. Careful not to bring food, tobacco, e-cigs, etc they’ll fine you 637%. Several ATMs available between check in and security.

Small airport in Mexico. Easy to get in and out. There is construction going on in the parking area. Social distancing and masks are required inside the entire airport. It was pretty hot inside. No air conditioning? Lots of shops to buy souvenirs before you leave. Also an ice cream shop and bar. There was a restaurant, but it still seemed to be under construction.
