Some beautiful paintings in the cloister. Unfortunately the central temple is closed and damaged by the earthquake.

Very beautiful place and full of history. The murals are very old and symbolic. At the entrance there are the guides who give a brief explanation. Without cost.

Simplemente hermoso.
Simply beautiful. A place for contemplation. When you arrive at the venue you are greeted by a large garden. At the bottom of the right side, is the entrance to the convent and the mural, a guide immerses you in its history and explains each part of it in detail. They have a lot of experience and knowledge. Today it continues in operation, so you must be respectful and not make too much noise, since the Augustinians are inside. Pets are not accepted. You can go as a family or alone. This place is a gem.

Beautiful courtyard with views of the mountain. Bathroom cost me 5 pesos, and didn’t include any soap or toilet paper!

A hidden place in Mexican country side, full of ancient history from the XVI century (1546) when Agustinos order came Mexico and decided to stablish in this magical place to convert indigenous people to Catholicism, here was under construction by the Spanish arrival one of the most important and unique Aztec temples and stopped suddenly with the Aztec empire defeat giving place to this colonial masterpiece of religious art. The main church unfortunately is closed because of the 2017 earthquake and is under reconstruction but you can have some of his magic at the side area.
