En este lugar podrás ver el anfibio que es endémico de Xochimilco y que por desgracia ya está en peligro de extinción en su hábitat natural, sin embargo existen criaderos como este que sirven para la preservación de la especie. Aquí podrás ver ajolotes vivos de diferentes colores ya qué hay blancos, dorados, negros e incluso hay rosados pero aquí no había. Otro dato curioso es que el ajolote es la larva de la salamandra que no hizo metamorfosis pero que si se puede reproducir.
La entrada es de 35 pesos solo pago en efectivo y hay personal que te explica todo lo referente al ajolote, puedes tomar foto sin flash, no es muy grande el lugar pero vale la pena conocer y ver a los ajolotes, que por cierto siempre parece que están sonriendo es por ello que le llaman “animal sonriente”
Axolotl Reserve, Ambystoma mexicanum
In this place you will see the amphibian that is endemic to Xochimilco and that unfortunately is already in danger of extinction in its natural habitat, however there are hatcheries like this that serve for the preservation of the species. Here you can see live axolotls of different colors and why there are white, gold, black and even pink, but there was none here. Another curious fact is that the axolotl is the salamander larva that did not metamorphose but that can reproduce.
The entrance is 35 pesos, I only pay in cash and there are staff who explain everything to you about the axolotl, you can take a photo without a flash, the place is not very big but it is worth knowing and seeing the axolotls, which by the way always seems that they are smiling that is why they call it “smiling animal”

Hay proyectos en México donde realmente realizan la labor conservacionista de está emblemática especie. El lugar realmente se.dedica a otras actividades empresariales como servicio de sanitarios, venta de cervezas y plantas.
From ajolotario it has the name. In reality they have very few specimens and in precarious conditions. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bonito lugar, muy sencillo no hay más que 2 habitaciones de 3x3 mts dedicadas a los ajolotes y una en donde hay fotos de Xochimilco. A final encontrarás un vivero de suculentas.
Nice place, very simple, there are only 2 rooms of 3x3 meters dedicated to axolotls and one where there are photos of Xochimilco. At the end you will find a succulent nursery.

Excellent place to learn more about the Ambystoma mexicanum (axolotl), it has well-kept bathrooms, plants, food on weekends, little shop and souvenirs.
