The high quality of the art is mind blowing only surpassed by the good they are doing for the community. Joan our guide was able to work with and speak to the artist on their works. The additional info she provides gives so much more dimension and meaning vs just seeing the art yourself. Thank you for one of the best days / activities we have done in Akumal. You have inspired me to get involved / help out. If you have any artistic interests this is a must check out. Joan is also able to provide additional info about the pueblo venders shops restaurants as you tour which is also helpful for exploring communities. Thanks again cant wait to see next years additions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was surprised Akumal has many art murals all around Akumal pueblo, just besides Akumal beach area, crossing the bridge.
Different artists and great pictures, around 60 art pieces in the tour, and aprox 100 in town.
Is possible to get explanation with a guide too.
Yearly they have an art festival. Art to bring colors to the habitats of Akumal.
