★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Park in the lot for 50 pesos. Ignore the guys along the road selling tours and equipment. You don't need a guide and you don't have to carry the equipment anywhere if you rent on the beach. It ciders the same on the beach as on the road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place to park your car for a day at the beach in Akumal. Before entering this place watch out for a lot of agressive tour sellers. Vendedores. The almost Will stand before you car So you have to stop for them and buy / rent their tours or products. For us a very unpleseant experience. Those guys are not friendly at all and Will stand allong the way. WATCH OUT!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Price is double ($100 pesos) if you have a minivan. Also the guys at the front are vultures trying to sell you tours. Annoyed at both the extra cost for a simple minivan and the guys up front.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are plenty of turtles to be seen and the town is pretty cute. Just a heads up, there is little to no area you can sit on the beach without security guards coming and telling you to move. That said, the first 15m from hightide are federal land so you can tell them to stuff it.
