2.9/5 based on 8 reviews

No masks during COVID. Scam. They try to change the price when you return the car. We had to wait an hour to pick up the car because it needed service. Car was trashed with scratches and scrapes everywhere. Over 50,000km on it. They charged me to repaint the bumper for a scrape the valet parking guy put in. I have insurance so it's no cost to me, but they are scamming people by having them pay for a bumper multiple times over without actually fixing it.

I have rented a car in December 2020. I have booked a 4x4 Jeep Wrangler or similar. Nissan X-trail 2WD. The tyres at the back had less than 1 mm profile on. That was absolutely not what I have expected!

I made a reservation with Alamo months in advance but when I landed from my 6am flight in Mexico City, I was informed that they had given my car away. Be careful if renting from this location during high travel season - this happened to us during the Christmas season. I was told they won't honor your reservation if it gets busy and they will run out of vehicles quickly, potentially leaving you stranded and looking for alternatives at the last minute. Would not recommend doing business with this location

I rented a car for 2 months in advance, and when I came to check in, I was told that my car had already been given to someone because I was 30 minutes late due to the delay of my flight.

Here we go again..In you database you do not have country Belarus. Update you database, and people from this country will be able you use your service at least. They told you that they have a cars and and the woman takes you across the street to the head office so that you pay for the services (this happens after choosing a car). When they see a driver's license from Belarus, they pretend that they are looking at something on the computer and say that, unfortunately, there are no cars?HMMM YOU SAID 2 MINUTES AGO THAT YOU HAVE NOT ONE, BUT EVEN SEVERAL CARS THAT SUIT US. You deserve zero stars. We are happy to rent a car in America Car Rental, with amazing price and service.

Bless their heart … that place was screaming SCAM… You might think you would get a car if you made reservations…. WRONG. They go “you didn’t prepay the reservation plus it is the end of the week so SORRY, not today … go and find the car somewhere else”. What is more interesting, they DO have a car but they would sell it to higher bidder. SHAME!!!

A lot of people have been complaining about the rental companies in Mexico city, I was a bit scared but as with a lot of fear it wasn't reality! Me and my wife took the new 2022 Chevy aveo to Sierra Gorda a beautiful park 7 hours from Mexico city. The car was great and the price was right. Gabriella was our sales women in the airport and every one else in the office was great as well. I would highly recommend Alamo. Don't rent from Mex Car Rental although possibly cheaper I heard from other people they have bad cars and aren't ethical.
