Alamo Rent A Car - 97000 Mérida

The map is not correct, spent 30 minutes walking around the same block trying to find the store. Once inside, needed to go online for additional information. The clerk said I would have to come back the following day, because it was 5:01 p.m. and they were closed. Couldn't spend four more minutes complete the reservation

Our experience with Alamo in Merida was excellent. Paulina and her collegues were exceptional and when we rent another car it will be from Alamo and Paulina.

We booked a car with Omar on Monday having spoken to him the previous day. He was incredibly helpful, well informed and I would like to add that his English is fantastic. We tried rentin a car with Eurocar, but had the worst experience ever, then we tried with Hertz and was no much better, we gave Alamo a chance and are pleased to say that their staff is the best, Paulina is such a nice person and explains everything so well, the prices might seem higher at first, but you end up paying less when factoring insurances prices. I recommend renting with them. Tip: If your credit card offers full insurance coverage you can save some serious bucks

We got a car for a day. The stuff was really friendly especially Paulina. We had problems because we booked online with another company and Alamo did not have the information in their system in the morning yet. Paulina arranged everything though to get us the car as fast as possible. She speaks really good English and is a sweetheart! Thank you!

We had a bad experience in an online reservation with Economy Car Rentals, who had led us to 'Firefly Car Rental' and we were very close to being victims in a scam of falsely dented returning cars. So we went to try to fetch another company in this group of Car Rental Offices and ended in Alamo. Nice serviceable personnel (Paulina) who was very patient. We had a reservation made online with Expedia and was respected. By the way, never believe those 'Too good to be true' fares online, when you arrive at the car rental office, there will be charges upon charges. For instance, if you can reject the DCW (damage collision waiver) because your credit card pays for the insurance of the car, then the companies will charge a 'safety deposit' of almost the entire value of the car to your credit card and you'll end up accepting the insurance options of the car rental company. In Mexico car rental is still very complicated, it's easier in the US. Returning to the story, the car was scratched and not very clean. When I returned the car I made these observation and there was no problem. Took their shuttle service to the airport. Next time I'll go to the big companies, they have their return the car services near the airports (usually) ;)

Precise, fast and impecable service. The car was new and in great condition. Paulina was very professional and amicable as well as a great problem solver as many of the reviews describe. I've never had such a great car rental experience!

Car rental in Merida can be a nightmare with other agencies like Hertz that do not honor confirmed reservations due lack of car availability. Alamo saved my vacation with great service and last min car rental.
