Do not rent from this location! I waited an hour just for someone to come to the desk and attend me. Then they upcharged me additional money outside of the mandatory extra government mandated insurance and refused to give me the rate I had reseved. Staff was very rude. Worst experience I've had at a rental car agency.

Booked a vand several months in advance. Showed up and they had rented it out to someone else. Don't waste your time

Horrible. We rented a car online, took a taxi to get to their car rental and then got pushed out because they don't have any available cars anymore. What?! As a consequence, we missed our ferry to Isla Mujeres and had to change our travel plans completely. I'll never ever book at car at this company again.

We went to this place to make a reservation for 10 days. They took all necessary information and should send email. But didnt. They hardly understand english. We tried to reach them on the phone next day to be sure about reservation-someone answered the call and asked to wait, then he dropped the phone. then they stop answering at all. the impression is that they are either stupid or very afraid of the people who speak the English language. then the question is why the hell are they sitting in the service industry?

I walked up with no reservations and got a rental fairly quickly. It was a Nissan Versa, nicer than expected. Daily rate was $1 more than national for full coverage. My friend returned it at the airport with 1000 dead bugs on the front without a problem. Giovonni and his dry humor made me feel a little more comfortable about renting from a poorly rated company (3.8 at the time but this should help)

Booked my car for 1 oclock, my booking was confirmed and when I showed up I waited for 30 minutes in line before being told that there would be no cars availabe for at least 2 hours. They wouldnt offer me any sort of discount or reimbursement. Very disappointed with my experience here and will not be coming back.

Car was not available at the time stated in the booking confirmation and I had to wait for more than 1h. The worst is that they did not have the full size car I booked so I was given a mid-size car which did not fit all our luggage. I was offered a discount but this did not help as we needed a full size car. Moreover, they want me to pay for dropping the car in the Cancun Airport although the price from my reservation includes the dropp-off in a different location. I do not reccomend and I would not book again with Alamo :(

Pleasantly surprised after reading the horror reviews. We decided to go with a pre-paid reservation, including all coverage and second driver. This way we avoided the upselling, the ‘no car available’ and all the other problems. The car was ready after 30mins and a change/upgrade due to a problem with the tyre on the original one. At drop off the mentioned tools were revised which we had taken fotos and videos off. No rip offs here no issues, in fact one of the smoothest rental processes I’ve expierenced. I guess it’s simply a language and ‘play-by-the(ir)-rules thing and you can avoid a bad expierence.
