★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The WORST experience in Mazunte or id say anywhere in the world. The service is terrible. The owner is a the biggest jackass and not only had the worst attitude from the beginning but then was insulting and disrespectful in all ways. The food is not good at all they claim to be Italian but the two times we ate here they didn’t have the ingredients listed on their menu and both times the servers were very stressed and with an attitude, the food took forever, both times they don’t offer you water and you have to go look for them to get anything. The WORST experience I don’t recommend this place to anyone. Read the reviews as many people feel the same way about this restaurant and owner here in mazunte I came to learn later.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Who thought I would find a nice Italian restaurant on the pacific coast of Mexico? When we stopped on our first night in Mazunte, Oaxaca and asked where was the best place to eat, all the locals seemed to agree that Alessandro is one of the best, if not the best. Be warned, it is not Mexican food. It is however some of the best pasta I have ever had. My favorite was the Pesto Pasta. Although a vegetarian dish, it is full of flavor and color. I also realized that in Mexico, I could have Filet Mignon for half the price it costs in the U.S. I visited two nights and the special one night was Filet Mignon with a Mushroom Cabernet sauce and roasted potatoes. This went down very well paired with a Valpolicella. As they would say in Mexico, "Delicioso!". If you ever find yourself in Mazunte, definitely pay Alessandro a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best food in Mazunte no question... But it's what you'd expect given the price tag! I can still taste the food though so clearly worth it?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Enjoyable meal with decent size portions. They make the pasta in house and it was delicious with an extensive menu. The staff were friendly and and helpful. They make the bread in house which they offer complementary, nice gesture but we thought it was just quite dry.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Way better choices around. 45-60 minutes of waiting and dry bread as primer. Even had to ask for cutlery after food was served. Basic lasagna, taste ok, but not worth the money as portion was small.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a gem! I walked by this restaurant and was drawn in by the delicious smells, and I didn’t regret it. After being on the road for quite some time, I was looking for some hearty carbs to change things up.
This place definitely hit the spot - the pasta was fresh and the prices were very fair.
Only took one star off since it took a really long time to get our food.
They also give you complimentary bread.
