We had an awesome SCUBA diving experience Alejandro in Cozumel. His instructors, dive masters, and crew are professional and enthusiastic. The dive masters were great at pointing out interesting things underwater and their dedication to protecting the reefs was inspiring. I'll never forget seeing Louise wrangle a wayward kid who was barrelling straight toward the reef away to safety. Roberta and Vanessa were excellent instructors and deserve extra points for being so patient with me when I struggled with some of the skills. Their gentle persistence despite my protests eventually paid off and I was so pleased to get my certification. The discounts that you get for booking multiple dives and equipment make diving with Alex Scuba a great value too. He seemed to have many repeat visitors and my husband and I hope to be among them one day. Diving with Alex Scuba in Cozumel is an experience we won't soon forget!

We've got to say: Cozumel isn't the nicest place to spend your time in Mexico. If you want to have a cool beach vacation there are much better places to stay at. BUT. If you wanna have an awesome dive with one of the coolest dudes on the planet, you've gotta do it with Alex and his colleagues. My girlfriend and I had didn't dive for the first time, but we both have to say that it was just big fun doing it with Alex. He's like the awesome uncle you never had. He also told us about the Pier #4 that will maybe be build on Cozumel and how it would effect the environment. He's one of the few guys who wants to protect nature. I understand that mexicans, that are working on the many cruise ships coming to Cozumel also need a job - but at what cost? Alex showed us an wonderful underwater world. We didn't see tortoises, sharks and other impressive things - but we saw life, as it should be: untouched and beautiful. We had a great time!!! The dive master Louise is very friendly, professional, patience and knowledgeable. Highly recommend to anyone planning to visit Cozumel for diving and snorkeling.

Disappointed that we specified 2 locations paloncar and a wreck dive. We didn’t go either location. Also, specified wet suits for 3 divers and they brought none. Then for day two, they changed the plan due to weather and would not pick up at our home. Many boats picked up other guests. Our guide was fine. Didn’t do a dive plan and rarely looked back despite being charged with 7 divers. Also- requested payment in dollars despite boat crew telling us they take cards.

My partner and I received our open water certification through Alex Scuba and loved it. We had a great time learning in the pool then diving in Cozumel. We booked the stay and scuba package which I would highly recommend. Alex is an awesome dive instructor and we had a blast getting to know him over the days. We will definitely be back!

This place was TOP notch. Everything from the communication to the dive masters. They were extremely punctual and knowledgeable and took us to some fabulous dive sites! They are also extremely patience. It was my boyfriends first dives in the Ocean and they made him feel extremely comfortable. Next time I am in Cozumel, they will be a spot for sure!

Had a wonderful experience with Alex, Mateo and all his crew. A lovely bunch of people who love what they do and really look after you. It was a long time since I dived and Alex took great care to ensure I was ready to dive with confidence. Can't recommend them enough ?

I picked Alex Scuba because of several reviews from first time and discovery divers. We were in Cozumel for four days and I was trying to schedule when I was already down there. It was a little bit difficult to schedule with Alex. Even when I paid the deposit for the trip, he told me to check in with him the day before. We had agreed upon 10:30 as a pickup time and then it got changed to 10:20. (this was all via whatsapp). He sent me an email telling me to be ready at 10 that I never received, and showed up at the dock at 9:40 telling me to hurry up and get down there because we were making everyone wait. So we were rushed from the beginning. We were promised the discovery dives with two dives. He really rushed through the lesson with my boyfriend, and being on maybe 15 dives total including one refresher and one discovery dive, the lesson was pretty basic and not very thorough. Then we jumped in the water, and my boyfriend was having a rough time trying to breathe through the regulator, and couldn't do any of the lessons correctly. The instructor would just give him a thumbs up and try to move onto the next lesson. We had to rush back to the boat to pick up the other divers, and then proceeded to wait for the others to have their rest, while we could have been spending that time training him. My boyfriend wasn't comfortable at all moving forward, and they still charged him $75. I did that with him and one additional dive, not two for the regular price (130). The instructor told my boyfriend to go to Alex's pool for a longer burn in time. There are other companies in Cozumel that will let you try scuba gear in a pool for free to see if you like it and want to get certified or do a discover dive, especially if you're heading into it with any anxiety. Overall, people seemed to really like Alex, and it seems like they are a somewhat budget friendly option without sacrificing safety, and the dive instructor was a great dive guide for me. But it felt like it was all about the money and they didn't care at all if my boyfriend was comfortable in the water, almost the opposite.
