Allegro Playacar - 77710 Playa del Carmen

At the begging of our trip we encountered a few issues with our room but the manager Renee rectified the issue and was very helpful and kind. We were able to upgrade to a better room. The food was also delicious! The Mexican a la carte restaurant was our favorite. The beach is very close to the rooms which is great.

This is a great place to stay. Food was fair enough to find something you'd like. TEQUILA WAS FLOWING. ? Room was adequate for us and thoroughly cleaned each day. Staff and resort personnel were professional. Taxi service was A 7 min to 10 min drive to bars and shopping. Pool and beach facilities are AMAZING!!! A GREAT INCLUSIVE VACATION SPOT!!!

The best staff I’ve ever met at a resort. The entertainment team is a 10/10. Front desk was also very kind & helpful. Food was not the best but once again the food staff was so attentive and nice. The resort itself is small but does not get boring. The rooms are close to the food, beach & pool. Crowd was older groups, not many spring breakers & not many kids but families started to fly in on our last day so that might depend on the season! The rooms were nice but very very moist. No matter how cold the rooms were, our clothes were very damp. There was a dead cockroach in our room but room service cleaned that up. Hammocks on the balcony’s we’re an amazing touch Edgar, Diego, Luis, Johnathan, Manuel & Carla made our trip an amazing experience

We are currently at Allegro Playacar. It’s our last night here and my husband and I couldn’t have been more pleased with our 7 day stay at this resort. The location and grounds are absolutely beautiful! I like how it’s a smaller resort and everything that you need is just a short walk. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful…….a big shout out to Alejandro who was so attentive and just lovely! The food was good - there were so many options at the buffet. Our room was perfect! The beds are so comfortable and the housekeepers really keep you stocked with necessities. I love the bungalows as opposed to a hotel room at other resorts. Please tip the staff - they work their butts off! I would highly recommend this resort!

Had a wonderful week with family and friends at Allegro Playa Carmen. Our stay was wonderful! We absolutely enjoyed the team and staff. Fernando,Alfredo Hernandez & Miguel provided excellent service. They are all professional, friendly and super attentive. They truly made us feel special and we hope to come back soon!

We had an excellent stay at Allegro Playacar. The main reason we had such a lovely stay was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Luis (Luigi/Sexy Chocolate) put on a great show every night and was so passionate and energetic. Miguel was an excellent bartender in the First Club and always had great drink suggestions. Then there's my superstar bartender, Nestor, who was always so happy to see me and pour me a drink. I loved the staff more than any other part of the resort and they all deserve a raise.

The staff here are excellent (particularly the restaurant and bar staff), do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. The food was really good, we only used the buffet so I can't really comment on the other restaurants but there was always a good variety on offer. 2 good pools and plenty of activities on the day, the entertainment staff did a great job of trying to involve everybody. Room was cleaned regularly and soft drinks and water were supplied daily. Only down side was occasionally there was limited hot water for a shower but this was only a minor concern for us. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

The room/ac was great! The cleaning staff, front desk, servers, bar staff and entertainment all were great. We felt very safe. We were always able to find a lounge chair at the beach. The sea weed was very bad but that is not the hotel's fault. There are times the chairs at the pool get full - sometimes people claim them with a towel and don't show up for 4 hours (we did witness this first hand). Friday and Saturday seemed to have more locals vs. travelers and the pool was MUCH busier and drinks were hard to get at this time with no wait staff to offer drinks. The buffet food was par. I realize they have to cater to many different people from all over but I thought there would be more authentic food more often, but it was all tasty. We were able to get one reservation for the "Sit down" restaurant and really enjoyed it. I do not like that you have to be in line at 9:30am to get a reservation and there is limited space (understandable). There were tables that people didn't show up for their reservation. I would have liked to see a "wait list" that if they didn't show up for their table for 20 min then someone else could have their table. The taxi's to town were great. There was a hotel employee that gave us a great reference for tacos at El Nero and they were fantastic!
