Amatista

Oh man. You will line up outside, your stomach will be growling by the time you sit down, but it's all so worth it. The soups look completely ordinary but they're the hidden secret in plain sight. I can't visit without at least a bowl... and no sharing.

A smallish restaurant, with around 8 tables of 4, super nice and helpful staff, quick service, and.. Well, the food is absolutely delicious. Went for the small sopa and a tostadas de tuna, everything was super fresh a d very tasty, with flavours you'd pay a loooot more for back home. Not just safe, but exciting choice for lunch or dinner.

Super delicious tostadas. Very small place with lots of clientele. All for a reason. Very responsive staff. Don't miss

Fantastic tostadas, especially the tinga de pollo. Best tortilla soup I’ve ever had.

Very nice staff and a cute place. Maybe I got unlucky with the dishes I got, but they had muted flavors and didn't wow me at all. I had high expectations for this place based on recommendations and reviews, but again there was no real flavor to speak of. The rice was good though and good portions. Thanks for following up. I had the mole and the pork one (can't remember the name)

The fresh tuna and black shrimp tostadas are amazing. So fresh, light and flavorful. If you're near Frida Kahala museum you should stop by.
