Super great service. Super great people. Easy in and out. Insurance recommended when driving in narrow streets, cobble stone, and speed bumps! It’s worth every penny. : )

America car rental will force you to get the CDW insurance which will more than double the cost of the car rental. There is NO way out of this. You will show them your third party insurance either from your credit card or your booking website and they will say "good for you" and still force you to buy their insurance. They will tell you the only way out of getting the CDW insurance is to put a deposit for the full amount of the car which is approximately $8500 USD. Most people don't have a credit limit this high, but I do, so I called their bluff and gave them my credit card which has a limit well above $8500 and the charge was declined. I call my bank and my bank says no charge was even placed. I try a different credit card, still declined. I call my bank and again they say no charge was placed. I suspect that America car rental prevents the processing of any charge this high and automatically declines it. So even if you have a credit card with a limit that is high enough to cover the cost of the car, you will STILL have to get the CDW insurance. Do not rent here.

Don't book car here via expedia or any other 3rd party service providers, that booking was not honored by them and front office person is very rude and arrogant. My case i booked car and paid full amount but when i walk to center and showed the booking details Expedia Itinerary 72307661656621 with front office guy ...he simply responded this booking is invalid ask expedia ,... we dont have cars get out ...... Such a poor behavior and no refund on my money paid.... I followed up with Expedia CC multiple times, but they couldn't reach the America Rental Agent on refund. Trip was cancelled by this guys and they dont have sense to refund the amount paid. TOTALLY LOOKS LIKE SCAM... they are earning money without providing the service for the customers... DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE ...

Beyond awful experience working with this company. I HIGHLY do not recommend using them at Benito Juárez International airport. Unethical, dishonest and inefficient . Would hate for anyone else to begin or end their trip on a sour note. 1st attempt at doing business with them last year, 2021, on a previous visit to Mexico City. Called several days ahead of time to rent a van for a large group, family trip and was instructed of when and where to arrive for pickup. Contacted them the night before our scheduled date to confirm our reservation and was guaranteed they’d have it ready. Upon arrival they informed me they didn’t have any vans available and that they were not responsible for having a vehicle ready or for the “miscommunication” with whoever we spoke with the night before. Ultimately we had to scramble that morning to find a rental van and overpaid for it due to it being last minute. 2nd Negative Experience- My aunt rented a van for our family trip, unaware this was the same company we had issues with the year before. Retrieving the vehicle and leaving the rental place was extrémala lengthy, in comparison to other companies I’ve used in the past. In fact, we had to remind the clerk at the counter that we were still waiting for it. This process took about an hour, not counting how long it took for all the paperwork to be completed. Upon return of the vehicle, they attempted to add an in additional, unexplained and random charge. My aunt and uncle dealt with the situation until I was called in, since they needed assistance, asking for the use of my iPhone. To begin, this request was rather strange! When I went in, I learned what was taking place and was indicated by the clerk at the counter to hand over my phone. I declined and asked what for. He stated that I needed to leave a Google review with 5 stars, so they could waive the additional charge. I questioned what the charge was for and they were unable to explain, but he said the with the review, they would waive it. I was extremely uncomfortable with their request as it felt unethical and dishonest. I informed the clerk of my concerns and expressed my opinion. I told him I would rather pay the fee than proceed with what was being asked. At that point he turned and walked away and a second clerk took over. The second individual basically made an attempt to bribe me and after I didn’t comply she stepped away, made a call to someone on her cell phone outside and came back and said we were good. No additional payment needed or a review. Definitely not the way I wanted to end my trip; frustrated and disappointed.

Arturo May really helped me out with our insurance coverage. We got a flat tire and he made the process of returning the car very smooth and helped us so our insurance covered it all. He was very kind and made it so we had a good experience.

I just never gonna learn to check reviews online before booking a car. Yes, car rent for three days was $62, but I had to buy mandatory insurance from them for $230. Ridiculous! I tried to explain them that if I was given an option to opt out from insurance and they are welcome to hold amount they need on the credit card. But, no, these scam artists will insist insurance or no rent. Great, that I’m not desperate and can walk away, but some people probably had no choice but to buy the insurance out of necessity to get a car. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AND DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.

I just never gonna learn to check reviews online before booking a car. Yes, car rent for six days was $2000 but I had to buy mandatory insurance from them for $4450. Ridiculous! I tried to explain them that if I was given an option to opt out from insurance and they are welcome to hold amount they need on the credit card. But, no, these scam artists will insist insurance or no rent. Great, I just need the car for a event and don’t have another option. So run from then as far as you can. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AND DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.
