People has always refer to is as "Libreria americana" or American bookstore, English and Spanish spoken.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My mother was an English teacher for 32 years in Acapulco, Gro. She always ordered the books from ABS and I remember going with her to check on her order when I was little. In fact, she used a book with a greenish front cover and two faces on it. Do you have any idea of which book this might’ve been? I’d like to purchase one. It was an excellent book.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The old American Bookstore was far superior to this one. That catered to Americans and Mexicans interested in everything American: magazines, newspapers, bestsellers, unusual books, etc. etc. The present American Bookstore caters to university students studying English, and that's about it. I found no magazines or books of interests, only American classics by authors like Henry James and Herman Melville, and dictionaries - a sad reminder of what the American Bookstore used to be. And the ambiente was unpleasant.

Good catalogue of books, especially in English and French, as well as resources and reference books for teaching.
It's kind of a shame that, for an unknown reason, they have shortened their inventory.
The attention received is always warm and friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of books in English the majority just to teach English or help in some sort of test. TOEIC, TOFL, so forth. Place is pretty small, some kids books,Harry Potter and those type of books. I was looking for a Bible in English and wasn't able to find one, kind of disappointed. If you really want a alright book in English you can find it here, not much selection but it will be in English.
