Se le piden estudios a los pacientes y la RECEPCIONISTA habla pésimo del médico que solicita el estudio si no pertenece a Amerimed, y le ofrece al paciente pasarlo con algún médico de ahí. Muy mal AMERIMED, así no es la forma de conseguir pacientes, queriendo desprestigiar a los demás médicos, los pacientes se consiguen haciendo bien las cosas, no como ustedes lo quieren hacer, muy mal y pésima indicación de su representante, la Dra Ana Paula Garcia Plascencia y el director médico.

Question Why do you show accreditation from Canada when you are not at all? Please call Accreditation Canada the only one. And also if you were accreditated from Canada, you will not have refuse to get paid by the Canadian goverment for Canadian goverment personnel that was in the need of surgery.Again , check with canadian accrditation in Ottawa.

We got our family's Covid tests done here before our flight home. This place is a well-oiled machine. The staff was super organized, professional and friendly.

My family was on a cruise when my dad suffered a heart attack. The doctor on the Carnival Cruise ship sent us to this hospital. Before we could get settled in, they were collecting $5,000. We paid them and then found out my dad needed a heart cath. They would not deem him medically clear to fly and demanded $40,000 in order to proceed forward with bringing in the cardiologist from the mainland to perform the heart cath. After giving them $30,000 the cardiologist was unable to perform a stent procedure on my dad and they put him in ICU. We couldn't get a medical evacuation jet in, due to weather and the hospital tallied up our total bill to $62,000. When we couldn't pay them anymore money they basically kicked my dad out of the hospital without his medical records and sent him to a community hospital that really didn't have the means to take care of him if he were to have another heart attack. My dad finally made it back to the states and ended up having a triple bypass surgery. The medical insurance that my parents have is listed as one of their providers but they never attempted to file it with them. The day my parents made it back home after being in and out of hospitals for almost a month they had a letter form a consumer debt collector on behalf of Hospital Amerimed in Cozumel for over $40,000. The medical staff was friendly and as helpful as they could be, I suppose. However, the collection process is so cruel and heartless. If you are an American traveling to Cozumel and need medical treatment, you better have a pocket full of money and be prepared for them to attempt to get it all.

My daughter was recently admitted to Amerimed Hospital due to an accident while on our cruise. She is 6 years old and I stayed with her while she was hospitalized at Amerimed. The doctors, nurses, and all other staff took such great care of my daughter. She had to have surgery on her leg and it was a complicated surgery. The orthopedic doctor when I came back to the United States said that the doctors at Amerimed did a superior job on her surgery as he looked at her X-rays. He said if it was his own daughter, he would want the X-rays to look just as hers did. Beyond just doing a superior job with her well care, they loved her and treated her as though she was their own. I don’t speak much spanish, but they made sure I was always aware of everything and spoke to me in my language whenever possible. It was a very vulnerable situation, but they made it as easy and comfortable as possible. You will not find better care anywhere else. And if you don’t speak Spanish, they have WiFi there and you can use google translate if you need to get something across to the nurses in case you don’t speak Spanish. Thank you, Amerimed staff!

I felt compelled to write this review regarding our family cruise vacation to Cozumel in 2015 in hopes to encourage someone facing the same situation. My father had a massive heart attack while in port and we were so scared being in another Country the care we would receive. This is a state of the art facility equall to if not better than any Hospital in the US. Yes, we had to pay out of pocket thousands , however later reimbursed fully by our insurance including the air ambulance.. The care of the Doctor and nurse was undesirable and truly went above and beyond. They stabilized my Dad offered many options including air ambulance to Miami. They nurse stayed in the room with my Dad around the clock and the young Doctor closely monitor him and never left the Hospital. The personalized care saved my Father life. Later we learned that Mexican Doctors are world renowned Heart specialists. We will never forget the ENTIRE staff the love showed us and we remember them in our prayers. Once back in the IS the indepeth documentation helped the US Doctor to pick backup. My Dad is doing great.

My son had accident on our cruise and we were rushed to the this Hospital. The staff took extra care as to make us very comfortable. The doctor on site Claudia Curvas was terrific in explaining the situation and the care that my son needs to follow. My son suffered 4 broken ribs and back injury. The follow up with Dr. Curvas was again beyond my expectations. She was going away on Tuesday morning on Vcation and she made the effort to meet my son and give him his documentations necessary for flight. Thank you to the entire staff and especially Dr. Curvas.
