★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our group of 4 booked the Museo de Antropologia and Castillo de Chapultepec tour on May 19, 2022 with Andres and were disappointed. Our tour started out fine but as it went on Andres seemed to rush through information and wouldn't wait for the group to catch up to him at another section of the museum before starting his spiel on the information. Coupled with the difficulty of understanding his English had our group venturing off on our own to read the placards of the exhibits and look things up on our own.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Did the teotihuacan tour and really surprised and confused by the reviews because this was one of the worst tours I've ever been on. It was also very mis-leading from Amigo tours.
Firstly the tour states you spend time with a "private archaeologist". This is just a lie.
The tour also states that its in English but this also isn't true as it was a blend of both English and Spanish. This isn't the fault the tour guide but it meant that everything was being explained line by line switching languages. It made the tour virtually impossible to follow. Being honest, me and the person I went with learnt nothing from the trip. Having spoken to others this was a view that was shared.
It's exceptionally poor from Amigo tours, they should make this clear otherwise people will book who otherwise wouldn't. Also having a group of over 20 certainly didn't help.
Once the tour is finished the group are taken to a restaurant which can only be described as the biggest tourist trap in Mexico. Very poor quality food at UK prices.
Every part of the trip ran late from leaving in the morning to leaving the site which just meant waiting around on a bus for the majority of the group. We were told to be on the bus to leave at 1.50 (most were) and we ended up leaving at 2.20.
The tequila and mezcal tasting session was fun though.
The trip was a waste and I'd reccomend spending your time and money on a different tour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bad communication by the tour company. We had an issue with the pick up location, we tried getting in touch by phone and email numerous times but no answer. Then we finally got through, we were told we'd have to pay a penalty to do the tour another day. We reluctantly agreed to pay the penalty but they just never sent a follow up email for us to pay the fee and take part in the tour the following day! Spend your money elsewhere with better customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This tour company was extremely responsive. I emailed with a question and they answered within 3 minutes with a return email. Impressive.
I would recommend the sunrise tour. Lovely to be at the archeological site when it first opens/no one else is there. Tour had good information, but was not super personable… no sharing about our guide and her connection to the place or any questions about our lives or even our names etc. not necessary for a tour.. but just lacked some personal connection
The rest was enjoyable and fun! Good value!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hosts of the trip are great (Fabio & Diana)! The bus driver is excellent. Lots of information and the sites are wonderful.
Why I rated this a 2/5 of is the added in “tequila tasting” and “obsidian”shop stop. The restaurant they take you too is also gross and overpriced. The other reviews stating it’s reheated buffet food are correct.
For obsidian shopping, if that is your thing, the temples have many sellers who will beat the price of the obsidian shop.
For tequila tasting, go somewhere more authentic and better priced.
I’d suggest bringing your own cooler of drinks and your own lunch.
If you are adventurous, just do these sites on your own accord. You’ll get more time and will have less waiting around for the other travellers.
A final word: the trip can be long and extended, ours went 3 hrs over the suggested times-which is fine because there was extra time at certain sites, though you do feel rushed along the way.
Thanks again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used this company back in 2020 for travel. I enjoyed the tour so much I booked again in March 2022. I booked 3 tours with them while in Mexico City and they all went great.
Everything was organized. Pick up points where on time. Guides were knowledgeable. I did two days with Lili and one with Leonardo.
I purchased the combo tour, and the Puebla tour. The combo tour is full sized charter buses with a restroom and charging ports. So you are ridding in comfort all day.
The Puebla tour was a smaller tour and did not have ports so make sure to have your portable charger.
Overall great experience. I will continue to use them while in Mexico City.
