★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic place to dive when you're in Mahahual. The shop has a great location. They have a really nice boat and shop. The guides, captain, first mate, and staff are by far some of the best in the business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Outstanding! We spontaneously added some more days of diving bc everything was just perfect. Every single team member is caretaking and fun to hang out with. Their gear is new and well maintained and the diving around mahahual is amazing! Would absolutely recommend the amigos to everyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be sure not to give these guys any money up front. I booked a dive trip, traveled to Mahaul and wasn't able to dive as they weren't even allowing boats out due to weather. We were told the weather wasn't going to clear for 4-5 days. We couldn't stay that long and the refused to refund my deposit. Good thing I used my AMEX!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I did a refresher course with Fran and I felt very safe and comfortable the whole time. She was super professional, calming and attentive and I am very grateful for the whole experience. After the refresher I went on a few more dives with them, and every time my equipment was well prepared and the dives were nice. Unfortunately I never had the chance to go out to Banco Chinchorro but if I ever return to Mahahual I would choose to dive with Amigos del Mar again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I haven't dived in 2 years due to Covid. Gala took us through the refresher course with a smile and a lot of patience and reassurance. If I could rate >5 stars I would! The next day, we went out to Banco Chinchorro for some truly spectacular diving - I loved every minute of it. The care and attention to detail of the dive masters and crew was really special. Heartily recommend Amigos del Mar ???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I haven't dove in 8 years and Fran took me for a "refresh" dive and I can honestly say that she was the sweetest and most responsible instructor I could've possibly asked for. Fran is an outstanding person who makes you feel comfortable throughout the dive. The dive itself was amazing and it makes me wonder how I could be 8years without doing it. Long story short, big thumbs up to Amigos del mar and special hug to Fran. See you around
