The service was very good and the rooms are stylish but unfortunately not very comfortable. It was very dark and noisy, and above all way too hot to sleep at night. Also keep in mind that the hotel is not located at the beach, so you'll end up looking for beach clubs to stay and paying extra for that! We asked to cancel our reservation two weeks before, as we were staying for our wedding and found out that it wasn't possible to use any hairdryer or iron but our request didn't get accepted!

I loved my stay here! Lovely secluded and quiet rooms set in a quiet courtyard off the main beach road. A stones throw from the beautiful beach. It’s brand new. There was a few things not quite set up for our stay, like shower curtains and window curtains for privacy, but the room was none the less peaceful in its simplicity. I will definitely stay here again.

Amor rooms is a quirky experience with a simple design rooms, sound making pipes, warm and cozy atmosphere. There is NO receptionist at this location so you'll need to make arrangements to check in. We missed that information when booking... luckily, we were able to connect with the owner, Lourdes, who was very accommodating, friendly and helpful!

Positive: Amazing location! Lourdes was really helpful with everything, both my phone and my computer broke down and she lent me her computer evey time I needed it ! My room was like in the pictures, super clean and organic design!. Negative: There is no air-conditioning and the hotel is not built not to have one ! I mean it is not made of wood so that at night the air can naturally cool down. There are ventilators (3) but they made such a noise I had to turn them off and try to sleep in my swet :( this is the only negative point though..

Positive: Amor room is located at a superb location within the main beach road of tulum. All the restaurants and bars are within walking distance (some outside your frontstep and some max 15mins walking) and the access to the beach is 5mins. Lourdes, the hotel host, is fantastic and she will take care of you, for anything that you might need. The rooms are very spacious and have a very junglish feeling. The soundproofing could be a bit better (you can hear footsteps from above floor when they are walking) but overall we experienced no issues sleeping. I would really recommend this hotel!.

BE AWARE!!!! The maintenance and staff will ROB you. No safe in rooms. They STOLE my jewelry (necklace and earrings) and $200 in cash. They go through your things while you're out. The guy who works there tried to enter our room thinking nobody was inside. He will also miraculously "find" your charger or credit card in trash-bin outside on the balcony to gain your trust and then take advantage of the situation. I felt really unsafe there.

The stay was very uncomfortable: 1. In this hotel there is no reception. When we arrived the security guy had no key from our room. So, we had to leave all our bags in the unlocked room. No safe box in the room. Anybody from another room could enter our room and take anything they wanted. 2. During the whole evening we had no warm water. Imagine when you had 16-hours flight and all you dream about is shower and you can't take it. 3. When we decided to have a dinner, we couldn't get out of the hotel because some of guests closed the door. The security person couldn't open the door. We've spent about 1hr trying to get out of the hotel. Then we found another tourists and they had a key. They opened the door and we finally could have a dinner. After 16-hours flight, no shower and 1hr of trying to get out of the hotel. I have video proof how we tried to do that with the security guy for a long time. 4. Next day when we returned to the hotel we found our room locked! The cleaning lady just locked the room but we had no keys. We tried to find the key with the security guy, but he didn't have a key. So, we've spent 2 hours trying to find the phone number of administrator to get the keys and to get into the room. The phone number on booking.com just doesn't work. 4. Noisy generator works all night long. So I could sleep only when I got really exhausted. It's not the relaxing stay at all. 5. There is no reception or somebody responsible in the hotel, the security guy doesn't speak English at all. We couldn't solve any issue with him. 6. The room wasn't ready for tourists at all. There was no carpet and the floor was very cold. The hotel is not ready, there are construction works. It's not the experience you expect looking at your page on booking.com.

We stayed there for two nights during the Christmas week. No receptionist as other reviews mentioned. Finally we got in touch with the owner with the help of a construction worker on site. What’s even worse, we didn’t order housekeeping in between, but they entered our room anyways and took ALL the cash we had from our luggage. We were so angry but were told by the owner that housekeeping was just a protocol. In the end, we were compensated for half of the cash we lost but still very awful experience as those were the necessary cash we need for our stay in Mexico. Oh and we were told by the owner that the management just took over this hotel about 6 months ago, I guess that explains why past reviews are so positive. There’s no parking on site for those who plan to drive. There is a parking lot next to the hotel but they charge $800 peso per night. We found a place charging $500 per night with 10mins walk from the hotel. Wouldn’t recommend this one if you are driving.
