About Amorino

"The acai berry is often mistaken for the blueberry, due to its purple colour. Picked by hand in the Brazilian Amazon, this superfood is nutrient-rich and an excellent antioxidant. Blueberries belong to the red fruit family and contains less sugar and calories which offering a generous amount of dietary fiber. "

"The acai berry has a unique taste halfway between red fruits and cocoa. The blueberry balances the sorbet texture with a fruity and tangy taste. This sorbet is invigorating and boosting: ideal for sunny days! It goes perfectly with blackcurrant and yogurt. "

You have to order before you even get to sample. How would you know how many flavors you want without being able to try some first? The young male clerk was a bit rude for me. They need TWO people and 2 lines: One clerk to just give samples and one to do the rest. It would greatly streamline things. Also samples are so stingy hard to tell what you like. Nothing spectacular, just regular tasting stuff . Presentation is best part. Cones can have a few flavors but still only amount to 1 scoop or so. Pretty expensive for the amount you get. $3-4USD or more. Melts comically fast and slips so easily out of the cone as you eat! Nearly spilled it a few times. Cone is not awful but could improve. A little generousity and pleasantness would make me more likely to come back. Edit: found a small white fiber (hair?) in it halfway through eating. Which likely means it didn't just fall but was inside the batch that they made. Maccaron was the best part (caramel).

Every gelato is a work of art! The downside is it is an incredibly slow process to literally get your ice cream. First you pay your order, then (minutes after) you get your turn to select the desired flavor and finally (more minutes afterwards) you receive the masterpiece. For me, these gelatos are worth the price but not worth the wait.

This is a French gellato chain that had just arrived in Mexico City. The best part is that there are no limits in flavors, and if you're feeling like something more over the top, you can add a macaron for 35 pesos. Service is quick but can be a bit impersonal due to the high volume of customers it is bound to happen. I tried both founder's favorites the pistachio and cherry amarena

It is your standard amorino as you see in all other cities. This particular location was a bit too busy and not staffed well. I think they can do a better job by expanding a bit and adding more staff -

Good gelato. However, I was really turned off by the server weighing my cup and removing what must have been a couple of ounces of ice cream. Really? This is the opposite of hospitality especially for an ice cream shop. He also never managed to clean the scoop so I had chocolate trace in my blueberry cheesecake. Overall the petty gesture will remain more in my memory than the quality of the ice cream. ABCs of service, people.

Delicious gelato! Feels like I was back in Europe - you can pick multiple flavours and your choice of waffle cone, dipped waffle cone, or cup. Topping options include chocolate, nuts, and even macarons.
