I just returned from Ana Y Jose where we stayed in Villa Coba and it was the worst vacation of my life. Do not stay here. Our beautiful villa was equivalent to staying inside a nightclub. Every night until 1am there was blasting music and we often heard car accidents, street noise and traffic while INSIDE our villa. We had a beautiful pool we couldn't use because we literally couldn't talk or hear each other when outside. When we asked to be moved we were offered a basic room with no refund for the cost difference which was substantial. They knew when we booked the room that we had two small children and didn’t even warn us about the noise problem! The customer service was majorly lacking and this made for an awful experience. The management was unwilling to try and make our families happy. The villa included ear plugs and even with these in none of us could sleep. It felt like someone was perpetually jinxing us on our vacation. We made massage appointments and they forgot to tell the spa, the "free" continental breakfast didn't include water and when we sat outside we were met with literal swarms of bees. This entire trip felt the opposite of luxurious or relaxing. The restaurant food was fine but definitely on the expensive side with extremely slow service. The beach is pretty but I felt bad for the overworked staff, they were running around without much support and it took a very long time to get drinks, towels, etc. The only time I found the staff warm, pleasant or eager to make us happy was when they were trying to recruit us to come on a tour of their hotel / houses. My NYC apartment is more peaceful in the dead of winter than any part of this trip. This felt like a trip to hell for my friend’s belated 40th birthday, we were all more excited to leave than we were to be there.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the staff is so nice and welcoming, and the rooms are absolutely gorgeous! The staff always has great recommendation and was always ready to help me with anything I needed. Stay here if you want a safe and beautiful time in Tulum with a lot of instagram ops.

Wow! Do not stay here if you want to sleep at all on vacation. We booked a villa at this hotel with a private garden and pool, but after 8pm it was like we were in a night club with the worst music until 3am. We get this can happen on the weekends but it was for our entire stay. When we checked out the registration staff was very funny about showing us the details of our bill. Trying to get us to sign off on the charges prior to showing us the back up for it he charges - they were very aggressive about this. When we went to pay, they felt that my signature was exactly like my passport signature and demanded I resign the credit card slip. At this point we were done. Taxing waiting for us, and we went to go, the woman chased me and called security to hold us here until I resigned another slip. I resigned it and again said it's not exactly like my passport signature. It wasn't a good experience. Maybe if we got some sleep on our vacation my signatures would have matched. Don't stay here. Great day spot for a beach club, could have been a little more accommodating when it poured raining and our towels got wet. Otherwise great drinks, pools and umbrella with bed. Be prepared to spend $100usd in food drinks to chill beach front.

This is a high end resort with a low key vibe. They are accommodating without being intrusive. It is in the central hotel zone, walking distance to shops and restaurants. The beach club has chairs, umbrellas, towels, drinks, food and music (mellow EDM). The service is very good. Our room was well appointed with robes, water, filled fridge, toiletries, hairdryer, beach bag, masks, ear plugs and more. Cleaning was done daily. There is WiFi in each room and throughout the property. The concierge, Paulina, was very helpful as were the waiters. It is true there is a new club across from the hotel which is too loud and obnoxious. The hotel provides ear plugs. We asked for a room furthest from the noise (Nube) and it was no problem. Ask in advance. If you want a catered to, relaxing and mellow stay, this is a good place. We will definitely come back.

Fantastic spot on the beach! We stayed here for a birthday and it was very relaxing. There were lots of opportunities to go and find the crazy parties, but it was nice and relaxing when we got back to the room. Fernanda was fantastic and we can't wait to come back! Gracias!!

Spent the day at the beach club at Ana y Jose and the drinks, food, and service were excellent. Although it was seaweed season (really sucks) the staff worked really hard to clean up a lot of it and I was still able to get in the water for a while. The service was attentive but not pushy. The food highlight on the day was the Emerald Ceviche which is super refreshing and tasty! Didn't stay at the hotel, but definitely recommend the beach club for a day of relaxing in the sun!

I’ve traveled far across the globe and visited many different hotels in different countries, and I’m sad to say that this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had a hotel. I stayed here for a week. The don’t care about there guests and there is loud techno music playing day and night, both at the restaurant and at the beach. Even trough the night you can hear the music and people loudly in the room. They run a beach club for day visitors which is the reason for the music and which also means it’s super busy with people coming and going all day. At night they host private parties which goes on until 3 am in the morning. It would have been a nice place otherwise. Beautiful beach and ocean, and the waiters at the restaurant was very nice. Special gratitude to William and Antonio. But in the end this a place I’ll never return to.
