Great house on great place

PURE BAIT & SWITCH! I rented and paid for a one bedroom with 2 beds because I was traveling with my assistant. Upon arrival I was presented one bedroom with just one bed. Steer clear of any property owned by Mattias Dohling! You centainly DONT GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR! PURE RIP OFF!!!

In response to Matthias's response - I did confirm the reservation. We emailed back and forth several times. It is your responsibility as host and not the guests to make sure that the place isn't double booked. If you can't sync your calendars, you should not list your rental on multiple sites. Your response demonstrates that you should not be a trusted host. You ruined our vacation and placed us in potential danger. __________ ORIGINAL REVIEW: BEWARE - OUR CONFIRMED RESERVATION WAS NOT HONORED LEAVING US STRANDED. We booked with Mattias and emailed back and forth a few times to confirm details, including within a week of our scheduled arrival. On the day of our reservation, we drove approximately 4 hours from Merida, arriving at El Cuyo around 5 pm. After we located the Hacienda Antigua Villa, we knocked on the door, and another guest let us in, and told us we should message Mattias or his assistant Magally via WhatsAp for the keys. So I messaged Magally and she told me that there were no rooms available, even though I messaged her a photo of my confirmation. She was not apologetic and offered no alternatives. El Cuyo is a small town very far away from any big or tourist town, gas stations or larger hotels, and I would strongly urge caution against relying on Mattias. VRBO couldn't get ahold of Mattias, and when he finally replied to my messages the next day I got a perfunctory apology.

The place is great ,clean and well maintained..a place to have some memorable experience

hello everyone, the owner is very friendly good vibes the place is cozy all the services good price and some of the things that I liked a lot the very clean place is really worth it ??

The room facilities is super old, the hygiene is very dirty, many cockroaches, bath towels and sheets have been used for many years, a cockroach crawled on me when I was sleeping and My husband got bitten by a cockroach.This price should provide a better living environment, the worst experience.By the way the cleaner lady is nice.

Wer loved it. The apartment is spacious, a huge bed, kitchen with everything you need and 50m to the beach.

staff was excellent - Matthias made everything go smoothly when we arrived and departed. Concierge service was excellent - Matthias was very helpful in making several reservations for us. Selection and quality was very much appreciated. (The staff) is one of best parts of staying at El Cuyo. Everyone is very thoughtful and caring to insure that you are enjoying your stay. Highly recommended!!,5 star and thumbs up indeed?once again, Thank you very much for everything Matthias
