El antiguo Oratorio San Felipe Neri es un edificio erigido por los frailes filipenses hacia 1776; originalmente fue sede religiosa, después cárcel y ya en en el siglo XX Hospital Civil. La iglesia de Santa María La Concordia fue concluida en el primer tercio del siglo XVIII, tiempo en que la arquidiócesis de Puebla da el permiso para levantar un convento oratorio anexo al santuario. Una joya que sobrevivió a las terribles Leyes de Reforma.
En noviembre de 1992 fue inaugurado en aquel lugar el Museo de Arte del Estado de Veracruz, alberga en su interior la colección pictórica más importante del estado. Bien vale la pena detenerse y admirarlo.

The old Oratorio San Felipe Neri is a building erected by the Philippine friars around 1776; It was originally a religious headquarters, then a prison and already in the 20th century Civil Hospital. The church of Santa María La Concordia was completed in the first third of the 18th century, at which time the archdiocese of Puebla gave permission to build an oratory convent attached to the sanctuary. A gem that survived the terrible Reform Laws.
In November 1992 the Art Museum of the State of Veracruz was inaugurated there, it houses the most important pictorial collection in the state. Well worth stopping and admiring it.
