★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Su obra arquitectonica hace que los amantes de la fotografía no pierdan el tiempo en tomar diferentes fotos del recuerdo en diferentes ángulos, situado frente al parque Miguel Hidalgo hace que sea un lugar concurrido.
Dentro del edificio se encuentran diferentes dependencias del gobierno municipal, como en todo municipio su personal hay veces que deja mucho que desear.
En pocas palabras un lugar que como turista no debes dejar pasar desapercibido para conocer.

The museum offers a brief story of the town (Eng-Spa) and the immigrants that builds its prosperity.
There is also a small hall paying homage to Amparito Montes, the sweet bolero singer, a native of Tapachula. An interesting marimba collection, and bunch of info about this, the Chiapas state most representative musical instrument.
I have the chance to catch two very cool temporary exhibitions, one sponsored by the Guatemalan government and the other about the now internationally famous local graphic artist Jorge Gamboa, best known as 'Mal de Ojo'.
The building itself is worth visiting!
Nice and enthusiastic museum staff welcome and guide your visit.
Free entrance and a small but fascinating shop. What else would you ask? Oh, yes, there's an extra benefit for visiting MUTAP, You temporary escape from the infernal heat outside on the streets!
