★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was absolutely perfect! We went twice while we were there and I could eat there every morning and be so happy! The coffee was great. The parrilladas were amazing. Delicious tortillas. Super fresh!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really cute local place, very busy most days but the wait is not long at all. The chile relleno con pollo was delicious! My husband got a tlayuda that was giant and had great flavor. They make the tortillas by hand right there in the open kitchen. Our favorite agua fresca was guanabana, such a cool tropical flavor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went here for breakfast, eggs with bacon, served as traditionally with beans and tortillas. As good as you can expect, also had a cup of coffee - really nice one. Place is big and open, service is good, mostly locals eating here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect place to eat in Puerto Escondido. Hidden spot for the tourists, very popular under the locals (you will mostly only see locals eating here). Wonderful food, excellent service and well.. you cannot get better prices than this. Absolute gem!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was lively on a Tuesday morning, with a man playing the guitar and singing, lots of people, and an open kitchen. The waiter was very attentive, friendly, and helpful. I ordered some vegetarian options and all of it was very tasty, especially the mole! The prices are great, too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice mole negro and we were able to add a salad for freshness. I found the tlayuda mixta too dry and salty for my taste though. The meats were all quite salty. In saying that, I would go back for more mole.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favorite places to eat authentic Mexican food in Puerto Escondido. I had their pork skin huaraches and a dish of pork in red sauce. Everything was delicious and their service was quick and kind. If you’re up for some authentic Oaxacan food, you must go here. I give them my highest recommendation.
